I assume it will take a couple more rounds for the effect to really be visible, but even just for now, every little bit helps make shaving less of a miserable ordeal.

Two weeks post-lasering, and right on cue, the hair on my cheeks (where it was thinnest to begin with) feels noticeably thinner. It’s harder to tell, but I think there’s been improvement elsewhere too.

@eleanor.lockhart.contact I found your helicopter
I haven't seen The Pitt - I am not a TV person, At All - but from a broader craft perspective, this is a basic, straightforward truth.
Plot can be a powerful vehicle for stories. It's not the reason we tell them.
Are our political goals complex and difficult to achieve?
No, it's our elected representatives who are wrong.
I'm old enough to remember RINO
No idea! I certainly hope somebody's thinking seriously about it, because it's a horrible system that never should have been passed in the first place.
(The only possible upside of Democrats being locked out this year is that it would make a repeal measure much likelier to be proposed and pass.)
It was passed by a ballot measure, so it can only be repealed by a ballot measure.
No worries! One other question - in the course of this exercise, if I or an LLM were to ask a broad, open-ended question such as “please describe the circumstances in which your dog made the noise in as much detail as possible,” would you be willing to answer it?
(I’m going somewhere with this.)
, as good friends do,
That would do it too! I sure hope that’s not what’s going on here. I can’t think of anything else that would be a worrying sign, though. It’s honestly very confusing.
It would make so much more sense if it were tied to mental health or mood or anything like that. But no, I just wake up at noon, eat something, then realize I’m tired and take a nap for the next 4-5 hours.
I mean. It’s quite pleasant in the moment, actually. It just creates a lot of other problems.
Maybe I’m just getting old.
Yes, my sleep habits on weekdays leave something to be desired, but it’s not like they’re *worse* than they used to be. If anything, they’re about as good as they’ve been in my entire life.
At some point in the last 6 months I started sleeping basically all day every day on weekends. I don’t know where this came from but I don’t like it.
Did your son also hear the noise?
Putting a pin in this, since I really should be asleep right now, and I will probably have some offline obligations tomorrow evening.
If I don't come back to it on my own within the next couple days, feel free to ping me about it.
As an alternative: What if I were to provide the LLM with the literal text of the conversation leading up to the question?
I say this because for *my* interpretation of the question, the lead-up text is load-bearing. It seems unfair to expect the LLM to perform equally well without that context.
Fair. I'm also using more of a layperson's definition of "adversarial" - for example, if I were genuinely seeking an answer, rather than attempting to run a test, I would have provided significantly more information than you did in your initial query.
("Accept the results" meaning "consider it a valid implementation of the exercise and not a form of cheating." I don't believe its failure at a narrowly-constructed exercise can prove a broad conclusion; I wouldn't expect you to think its success would prove anything in particular either.)
Ok, I'm curious about something now. Would you accept the results of this exercise if, in addition to the question itself, I also informed the LLM that this was an adversarial process?
"what have I got in my pocket?"
And also how many are just about a cheetah dying of stress.
A fun thing to do is go through all my short stories and see which ones are basically about a cheetah and the dog they give her to keep her from literally dying of stress.
If the Palestinian government does not have a monopoly on the use of force within Palestine, then in a pretty basic sense, there is no Palestinian state.
Anyway keep this in mind whenever anything big happens and you see widely circulated Takes.
My credentials for commenting:
- I read a lot of stuff online
- I guess you could argue a class I took 15+ years ago was somehow relevant?
The reason I got so much engagement:
- I was up late the night that it happened
- I had Takes
An interesting experience I had a few months back was seeing how much traction my posts reacting to Maduro's kidnapping were getting compared to my baseline expectations.
