Instead of doing another rewrite, try coming up with something completely new. Make something as different as possible from what ur doing right now. That might give you new perspective.

Im a visual artist but I try to look at everything i make as a small step in some larger iterative process. You're never done with something, its just a learning experience for the next thing you make. Dont be afraid to make bad art. Its the manure that nourishes good art.
