Literally. Like as much as I truly despise these big websites, the majority of them at least offer some protection for kids. These really weird obscure websites are so much more dangerous for kids. It's just saddening how much this has already backfired

My issue with this law is, once again, you're not addressing the elephant in the room. By age restricting content to 16+, you're just delaying them running into hateful content instead of teaching them how to address and respond to it. What a terrible idea

Just got hit with it myself on here. What a disaster. I haven't been affected on any other apps, just this one which is extremely strange. Everywhere else just used algorithms to determined my age to be 18+ yet bluesky wants my drivers license or selfie or credit card @_@ sounds *extremely* safe
