I am overjoyed to learn that they still make these.

This epitaph goes hard.

So funny the things that doctors look at or ignore. I pushed for a friend's child to get a second opinion. One of the most autistic kids ever. But she "didn't have a special interest". The fact she spent half the appointment reciting a Peppa Pig episode and totally ignoring him counted for nothing

He leaped down from his window bed and immediately laid down. Wanted to stretch but didn't want to walk anywhere comfy

Work drama. Always work drama. And always announced five minutes before I'm due to clock off.

Giles was so generous with his time and so helpful when it came to explaining to journalists very clearly and with quotable precision exactly how a wrong un landlord was being a wrong un. But mostly I just remember thinking he was a really, really kind human who cared about the state of others.

I have just found out about this. Unbearably sad news. Nearly Legal was the one legal blog I read religiously. I only met him once, but he was smart and funny and very kind to a young upstart. He will be missed by many and anyone relying on section 9A in court owes him a debt of gratitude.

It's a really weird piece, this. For some reason she's talking about cost of living and council tax while riding on the Uber boat and then the cable car. Not exactly relevant to potholes and bin collections and social care.

Just seen a vox pop on council tax. Lads, councils have to pay for social care. It's a massive proportion of their budget. Of course you don't see a benefit, because you are 28.

100% this. Writers don't need to explain everything for the story to make sense or work.

Yes, I do like the Fett theme a lot.

I saw Bear McCreary live last year and I was so pleased to see the hurdy gurdy come out. Such a weird, wonderful instrument.

Black Sails is solid: the mix of Treasure Ireland characters and real pirates from history is fun, especially as I adored TI as a boy.

Appointment of Mandelson as Ambassador must be the biggest unforced error of any Prime Minister since the Poll Tax. Iraq and Brexit came about partly due to party and global environments. But appointing Mandelson was always risky and the benefits were always minimal. It remains a bizarre decision.

Malcolm in the Middle, Game of Thrones, Succession, The Mandalorian and Black Sails are all theme tunes I listen to regularly. X-Men is an absolute banger.

So glad we got this window seat for him. He is like me in that he loves the sun, and like Kat in that he's a massive curtain twitcher.

Financial times are horrendously hard at the moment because of having to pay for a private ADHD diagnosis AND a new mattress (ah, the chronic pain / hEDS tax). If you would like to buy a print from my website, now is a good time?

Kat applied for indefinite leave to remain yesterday. She was approved today. This country is now stuck with her and I couldn't be happier for her.

heartwarming video of astronaut Christina Koch greeting her dog for the first time after returning from space. the pup can be seen snarling, back arched, before scampering to its word buttons and pressing "IMPOSTOR" repeatedly, then "FALSE. SKIN. FALSE. SKIN." several times

I've said many times that first season of Picard should have been a cross between Indiana Jones and Murder She Wrote. Old man Picard geeking out at ruins and solving mysteries of all types.

Arsenal fans leaving in droves before full time or booing. Booing? No wonder this team seems to lack confidence despite being in pole position for the title. Absolutely bizarre behaviour from the fans.

Saw honorary niece today. She took me on a tour of a graveyard telling me all the names, birth dates, death dates. Then while her mum shopped in the supermarket, she pointed out every item in the shop.

Not autistic said 1 doctor. Unsurprisingly, we pushed for a second opinion and what do you know?
