@fuse8.bsky.social Hi Betsy! I’m trying to put together a Mock Geisel list but I am stuck this year! Do you have any suggestions or posts where you’ve talked about possibilities for this year?
Have to shout about this nonfiction book that publishes May 27 - not only did I learn a lot about how sand moves across our world and affects it, but the illustrations 😍🔥 @rhcbschoollibrary.bsky.social
Hugs to you, Laura!!
This is a must add to your classroom library! I love that our main character takes control of her own narrative, stopping the stories about her clothing so she can say her truth. Important representation of disability in kidlit! @kdmaz.bsky.social @ssedlib.bsky.social

If you have little readers, this is a must have! A decodable text about fairies - never underestimate the power of being able to read the story they hold in their hands!! @ssedlib.bsky.social
We had an amazing author visit with creator Alex Willan last week. The students were so excited to meet Gilbert and see who the next magical creature he was meeting (its mermaids!). The kids also loved learning how to draw Gilbert. TY Alex for the visit! #authorvisit #edusky @ssedlib.bsky.social
Adding this middle grade GN to my collection immediately. The dog love, the skateboarding, not feeling like you fit in… this is going to resonate with a lot of readers! #edusky #booksky #kidsbooks
So grateful author @saraharonson.bsky.social spoke with our students to help them make author-writer connections. Sarah is the best!!
So excited to catch up with these book characters. Some new MG sequels and companion novels, out now! @ssedlib.bsky.social @rhcbschoollibrary.bsky.social

What my second graders are reading (and again, just the book jackets since the readers have the books)! These are all books I’ve used as read alouds. Remember, when you share the book, they will want to read it! #picturebooks #edusky #kidsbooks #secondgrade #booksky
Miss both of these creators! Glad their work lives on!
What our third graders are reading… always note what kids are reading. And keep giving them more (please note, many of these are only the book jackets bc the kids have the actual books) #kidlit #thirdgrade #edusky #kidsbooks
Looking for engaging nonfiction for young readers? @ssedlib.bsky.social is bringing back two of my favorites from April Pulley Sayre. These are must haves for young readers #nonfiction #pictureboonks
Borrowed the idea from @hansonhallway.bsky.social and my 3rd and 4th reading intervention students thought about their “Readolutions” for the year. I was so impressed with the way they thought intentionally about their goals and what to work on concerning reading. #studentgoals #readinggoals
Done!!
Welcome #booktok refugees! I stand with you as we look for new places to connect. This is a great collection of resources here you may want to take a look at. TY to Debbie for putting it together!
A book for your Swifties - out this week! 🫶 @ssedlib.bsky.social
Why do all library holds come in at the same time??
Books I delivered to third graders today… their requests!
Going to try and post more of my reading here - from kids to adult books! Here’s a YA book I just finished. It’s the second in a duology. Takes place in Egypt!
Yes!!
I finished this middle grade novel last week and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I laughed. I cried - sometimes on the same page. These characters will be with me for a long long time.
Winter Break reading has started and @penguinschoollib.bsky.social made sure to add to my book stack! I can’t wait to read, thank you!
First time reading this and it’s a delight! Trying new things is always a tough lesson. Cookies and books make it better! @penguinschoollib.bsky.social
