Just completed our 5 day Lonoikamakahiki prayer run around Hawaii Island. Lono is the Hawaiian akua (God/Element) that represents the Nov-Feb wet season here in Hawaii.
Lono is the manifestation of fertility, regeneration, rejuvenation & replenishment of land & kino (body).

It's not Māori, it's Mohawk! The meaning of my name has something to do with the fact that I'm both Mohawk and Irish.
In our language, the word for "sky" is "karonhià:ke". Inside this word is the word for "blue": "oròn:ia". So, when we say sky, the term "blue sky" is kind of implicated in the word itself :)
My Kanienʼkéha name is "Tekaronhià:ke" -- does anyone here know (or want to guess) what it means?
