I'm mad the Canes aren't using Mason Greer for at least the Canadian anthem during our series. He absolutely kills it - and knows the French version too.

I like Adam Lee for the US anthem but his Canadian one is just ok.

Forgot to add - the penalty shot comes on a play after it was offsides (allegedly). A league that will take goals off the board for a missed stoppage of play after a review still awarded a penalty shot for something that should never have occurred.

I'd like to know where that sequence ranks in NHL history. As it unfolds...

There are lots of reasons to be jaded about the Canes and politics. The players politics, the HC5 situation, the US Olympic team celebration, even my long time seat neighbors who are MAGA brainwashed and not alone.

His "Sorry for Trump" comment was the 1st time that washed away for me all year.

He leans in and says "Sorry about Trump". Now, I don't need apologies from any American but it was a very touching moment for me. I laughed, thanked him and told him that was exactly why I wore it.

We've never spoken previously - except maybe when he let my daughter wave his flag on a hockey stick he used to bring to games when she was much younger. But we certainly recognize each other from our 10+ years as STMs.
