Ahhh ok I get that... ya its the type of story you need to look for. That's not for everyone.
The lore.... the story is there in the missions. But stuff like writing on walls on the maps, little hints here and there.... also im convinced there is an ARG in the messages on the maps and some of the readouts... I think I see a pattern, but I've always sucked at ARGs
I find myself wanting to create a a fantasy version of the uncanny system... I really like what I have going in #RottedCapes2e.
Its familiar enough for 5e players to pick up and run with but built with different energy/narrative facing systems.
Maybe this calls for a blog post
Marathon is nothing like that....the story is soooooo deep... but you have to look for and discover it. Its not handed to you.
