Hahaha thank you! Is one of my favorite things I’ve ever written down!

My 8 year old son, playing Fortnite online with his friends, just said “I’m grappling into the void”.
Me too, son. Me too.
I’ve now got four victory royales in doubles with the lad. Each one was a massive buzz (and him doing all the heavy lifting, to be fair)
It’s hard getting my one to play anything other than Fortnite (which, to be fair, he’s very good at and I’m oddly proud of that)
LET US MAKE THIS HAPPEN
Follow up idea: we have both of our lads play the games that we used to and offer their modern day opinions
We need to try to recreate one of those sessions in person at some point. Maybe film it. Have us play some of the classics that we played to death over again, contrast them to what’s around now. I’m sure that article hits a rich vein of nostalgia for loads of forty somethings like us!
Read this! Written by my old friend @damienmcferran.bsky.social. I’m the James mentioned in it. Brought back many a great memory.
Mate I love this. So good! Brought a tear to my nostalgic eye.
My son snapped one of his switch lite control sticks and I’ve just opened it up and put a new one in.
I have never felt more alive. I think I can split the atom now.
Accurate representation of me.
While I was at the gym this morning I watched some of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.
So it’s basically a long commercial break in parade form, punctuated by bad music and the hosts might be drunk. Got it.
The answer is of course
EECH AND ONG
One recommended serving of cereal is always a laughably small portion.
But a big fan of the recommended serving size of goldfish crackers - 55 pieces. That’ll do.
Agreed there. So good

Maybe it’s my hatred of cgi / green screen but after seeing the trailer for Wicked I can’t think of a film that I’d like to see less.
It’s an ice-cream induced migraine committed to celluloid.
Ooh that’s a great one
What are some of your most shocking moments in video game history? Things that made you genuinely scream “NOOOOOO” at the screen?
Big one obviously is Aerith being murdered in FFVII, but a smaller one is your horse dying in RDR2. Forgot all about that one when playing through again.
There’s a guy at my apartment complex who always makes a big point of putting Fox News on the tv in the gym and carries a Trump water bottle with him.
Just saw him, wearing red maga hat, get into a Tesla. I’m not sure why I expected any different of him.
His girlfriend wore a weary look.
Getting up this early to watch Leicester be this awful feels like an absolutely dreadful decision at this point.
Still, I’ve ordered a Taco Bell breakfast Crunchwrap so that’s something.
What song is the screensaver to your brain?
Like you have nothing else to think or worry about, what's the one song underneath everything once the nonsense stops swirling around?
Mine was "Soon" by My Bloody Valentine for about twenty years before being replaced by "Rill Rill" by Sleigh Bells.
Enjoying the fact that the music of Ethel Cain fits right in the middle of my Chelsea Wolfe / Lana Del Rey venn diagram.
She's fantastic, and I appreciate I'm somewhat late to the party.
Mate let’s go play it sometime when I’m about
I have often considered this
Facts
Currently enjoying Lennox Lewis going a little rogue on the Tyson / Paul coverage because Evander Holyfield can’t hear anything.
“Ask Evander this for us Lennox… (insert nice question)”
“So Evander… you think he’ll bite his ear?”
Dobbin
I am replaying Red Dead Redemption 2 right now. What a wonderful experience it is.
I feel this time round I’ve really noticed the soundtrack - it’s genuinely breathtaking.
Hello everyone. Here’s a photograph that Nick Bonnano subtly took of me sometime last year at work. No idea what I’m writing down.
DAMN RIGHT
