Jeez, that's awful

This crap is anything but old. It's 100% essential. Congrats Jose.
It’s always fun when @thecity.nyc gets name-checked inside the MTA boardroom.
Thank you, Mr. Brian Fritsch of @pcac.org
Congestion pricing is working! Ridership is up and growing faster than in previous years. Read our full analysis in PCAC's latest report:

Very, very cool news from @pcac.org — there's been more than 90 million additional subway rides since the beginning of congestion pricing in NYC.
We've already know it's raised $$ and cleared the air, but it's clear it's incentivizing transit, too!
In the first year of congestion pricing, New York City's subway system saw 90 million additional rides 🤯
Few things better than when public policy works as designed.
Congrats Ry! Welcome to the Dad club.
Another bill that would significantly water down and create massive loopholes in ACE/bus lane enforcement has been introduced. Glad we at least know it exists before it's passed this go around. If you live in AM Taylor's district, voice your concern! @2avesag.as @ridersalliance.org
Good factoid from the MTA board meeting today - $5B of the $15B in commitments for capital projects in 2025 came from congestion pricing revenues. That's huge - 2024 was their biggest year ever and shows how important CP is as a revenue stream.
The MTA has not introduced daily or monthly OMNY fare caps, even as it phased out daily and monthly MetroCards.
We joined a letter to @mayor.nyc.gov on expanding Fair Fares:
🆓 Free fares for NYers under 150% of the poverty level
✂️ 1/2 price fares for NYers 150-300% of the poverty level
Thank you @pcac.org @ridersalliance.org @cssnyorg.bsky.social for leading on this.

We have until 5pm today to restore funding for the Hudson Tunnel or risk an indefinite pause.
RPA, advocates, and business and labor leaders are calling for the immediate release of the federal funding.
A self-absorbed megalomaniac in action
Really well written and comprehensive piece on the future of the Fair Fares program by @davecolon.bsky.social and our push for expansion with @ridersalliance.org and @cssnyorg.bsky.social. Let's get it done @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social!

Is the Gateway Commission suing over the appropriated money that they’re holding up? They should be. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/02/c...
Glad to hear Janno state at the MTA Board Meeting that even if it's off the table for the moment, Metro-North is going to keep working on this with hopes for service starting in the future.
Not even really trying to hide it! Shameful. If the money isn't released tomorrow, GDC should sue.
Weird. I was just looking at the site the other day when they were announced as a master developer finalist. Not like the site was particularly illuminating to begin with, so why take it down?
The data shows SCOUT works. Our groups
@pcac.org @rpa.org asked Gov. Hochul to make the MTA SCOUT program permanent and expand it to 20 teams in the FY26-27 budget

"Transportation is an important piece of the affordability puzzle." PCAC Associate Director @bhfritsch.bsky.social spoke with Greg Mocker of PIX11 about the importance of expanding Fair Fares to cover minimum wage workers. youtu.be/kGPPajyO4bw?...
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge reading this garbage
Very proud to work on this transformative proposal for Fair Fares with @cssnyorg.bsky.social and @ridersalliance.org. Excited for the future of this program as part of the broader affordability agenda.
Huge thank you to @samanthaliebman.bsky.social for covering!
I'm sad my kids are too young (and I'm too old)! Looks super fun.
Seems like tight timing, adding to the already complicated situation on the Hellgate Line.
Is it going to be ready for @mtametronorth.bsky.social trains if Amtrak allows Penn Station Access to start in 2027?
Thank you Mayor-elect @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social for citing our research & spotlighting the affordability crisis.
Our report “When You Can’t Afford the Fare” shows that New Yorkers with low and even moderate incomes are struggling to afford transit.

Fair Fares is a program that has yet to reach its full potential, and expansion should be at the top of the new mayor's priority list. Great speaking with @samanthaliebman.bsky.social about the many opportunities to expand the program. ny1.com/nyc/all-boro...
NEW Report: States that voted for Trump got billions from MTA Spending
Companies in red states by U.S. Senate seats received more than $3.5 billion in MTA payments over 14 years. States that voted for Trump in 2024 received nearly $7 billion from the MTA over this period.

@pcac.org statement condemning @usdot.bsky.social's decision to hold NYC infrastructure and antiterrorism funds hostage. Totally infuriating and ridiculous: pcac.org/pcac-condemn...
Picking an anti-urban, totally cookie-cutter cul-de-sac as the background image really takes it to the next level.
