My recommendation would be start on smaller local categories and try connecting with more experienced photographers who can help you go up the ladder in motorsports!

For me it was a bit of luck. I started taking photos with car brands like Porsche and Ferrari in my country. Then I met a good friend who was a F1 photographer and saw my potential! Took me to my first race and then I found my way with international F1 publications!
