I kind of fell down a mythology rabbit hole — reminded me of my university days. So, imagine this: Lilia is a deity taken in by a local pantheon. But he was feared and looked down on — because he was an outsider, because of his strength, his boldness. Still, he remained loyal to those who sheltered him and was known as a god of war and strategy. Then a war broke out between humans and gods, and both sides suffered heavy losses. Lilia survived. And as the most resilient, the most experienced, and the strongest in spirit, he became the new Allfather — to rebuild what had been destroyed and create a new order. He also gave up his power to save the son of a fallen goddess of thunder and lightning, and on top of that, he took in a human orphan as his own. Now, this god no longer hears prayers like: “Lord, help us defeat our enemies.” Instead, he hears: “Father, help me protect those I love. Let me return to them unharmed. Guide me through fear with your steady hand, and don’t let me fall. Keep my family and my home safe.” Lilia uses his experience and knowledge of war not to win anymore — but to protect.
I also left references to Norse runes as his tattoos: God of War 🩸⚔️ Ansuz — word, divine will, command, inspiration. He is the voice of war. His word moves armies. A command that cannot be disobeyed. Jera — cycle, harvest, inevitability. War is a cycle. Death gives birth to more death. He is part of that endless loop: battle → blood → battle again. Tiwaz — honor, warrior, sacrifice for victory. His core. He is war as duty. Fehu — resources, energy, power, what you possess. His “wealth” is armies, blood, victories. Power he commands and spends completely — for protection, for victory. Algiz — protection, guardianship, connection to higher forces. Once — protection of himself, his warriors, his land. God the Father 🛡️🪽 Ansuz — guidance, quiet talks, upbringing, support. His words now save lives. Jera — now a cycle of growth: protection → life → future. Tiwaz — still a warrior, but now his duty is to protect, not destroy. Fehu — now his wealth is the lives he has saved. Children, friends, family, memory. Algiz — now protection of the weak: children, family, loved ones. Overall meaning of the runes: He was given power. His voice once led soldiers into war — and now helps raise boys into men. Despite his past, the pain, the losses, and everything he’s done, he kept his honor. And protecting those close to him became the meaning of his life.
