Try reading hibari no asa as well

I read the second one last year in a single sitting on a plane. The best fantasy novels out there from one of the greats IMO
One of the greatest openings in the past ten years.
Pretty decent show that I thought was gonna lean into the alcohol tasting more
Chinashi's opening is the best pitch for Kamiina Botan, especially in its full & uncropped version. A series about college students mostly having a good time (and a good drink), framed with a handheld camera and so much preemptive nostalgia you feel like the cast ought to watch this many years later
Oh the one with Shinosawa Hiro. Hasegawa Hakushi is one of my favorite currently working musician and the songs they made for her are amazing
I’m kinda interested in the idolmaster gacha game just because 1) the gameplay looks like umamusume and 2) the the hakushi hasegawa songs are too good
Is it your new favorite Gundam now
i think pretty much constantly about the scene in seven samurai where the villagers are eating millet because they need to save the beautiful delicious white rice for the samurai they want to hire. then i eat white rice and i feel like a king and i also feel a very great and deep sadness
With Hat Atelier is, no exaggeration, one of the most mesmerizing comics out there. Kamome Shirahama isn't "good at drawing" - she has great technical skill, yes, but she controls the flow like no one else, comes up with imagery that projects a world, and roots all of it in the themes of her series
The concept of writing scaling is so funny to me that it’s impossible for me to get annoyed by these sorts of posts.
My thought process has always been that if a children’s show takes children seriously (in terms of attention, intellect, emotional interiority), then it’s a good show to watch period.
I was thinking of using my voucher to get Taishin since I heard her career was pretty good
My Nice Nature was neck and neck for the win in the last CM, but ended in 2nd. I failed you
This mangaka just makes some good stuff. Peep Hibari no Asa too if you feel like it
Series was at its best at the same time we are introduced to the hot granny… coincidence?
Hearing about recent developments in Dandadan reminding me why I dropped it in the first place. First few chapters establish nice chemistry and even narrative weight between the two leads. But then it felt like the series started relying on cliches to shorthand its romance.
CSM ending was pretty interesting as an anti-superhero story. How can you heroically take your fate into your own hands? The premises are wrong to begin with.
The main characters have a nice boke/tsukkomi dynamic (non-derogatory)
Rather than incel, the closer online analogue for me among English-speaking tweens was the whole Tumblr/Deviantart “pretending to be a pyromaniac because I read once that was a sign someone was a serial killer” sorta phase
Best character in the whole show/manga
Now you can experience the greatest character of all time, Asa
God pull
Just earlier this week I 5-starred my Nice Nature. In preparation for eventually 5-starring Cheerleader Nice Nature.
5) Futari Bus
What makes the slow burn in this so satisfying is the mature and nostalgic depiction of middle schoolers muddling through their first loves. One of my favorite chapters has the main characters unexpectedly meeting at a mall which starts and ends with awkward greetings, and that's all
My infant-level global player prefrontal cortex being rewired in real-time at seeing the casino jackpot layout that the future holds
Will eventually read Akebi’s Sailor Uniform to see if it goes from fetish manga (bad) to fetish manga (good)
did tm opera o fucking die
4) Weeds! Be Ambitious
Now I understand Ikebe Aoi. Wistful nothings from adolescent girls where sometimes things just happen and remain unresolved. Mundanities, like talks by the poolside or running late for the bus, here become crystallized as youthful vignettes that simply were.
3) Someone Hertz
The newest sleeper hit in WSJ and one I'm most excited to read from the magazine every week. The romantic chemistry between the leads are off-the-charts-- bonding over shared passions, exchanging boke and tsukkomi gags, teaching each other new experiences. It's a breezy, sweet read
