I am realizing now that what I thought were several different people grouping these together was actually all just the same person who's come up in several different contexts so it felt like multiple people. So, actually I guess I'm not disagreeing with a whole movement as much as just one person

I also think of it more like that. I actually thought this was a bigger thing lumping these all together, but actually half way through writing this reply I figured out that all of this was from just one single person, but I was just hearing about it in different contexts
I do understand though that this is one of the very few contexts to get furry art taken seriously, and if given the opportunity I wouldn't mind my art in one of these type of shows or anything, this is just a mild annoyance I guess. I don't like memes very much
It also gives the impression that furry art is only valuable as an ironic statement. To me, this combination does evoke some of the feelings of the "cringe comp" videos from the 2010s.
In the gallery scene, furry art is often grouped together with art about memes as like a general internet aesthetic movement. Maybe this is just my slight aversion to memes, but I'm not really interested in being grouped in with that.

I do need to get better at sucking too...
I think I am doing something wrong like, process wise because the ink always gets really sticky and then dries up inside the nib and is really hard to clean out
I been drawing my entire comic with a pen I don't actually know how to use. I think I'm making this harder for myself, but I really want to learn how to use a dip pen

I keep seeing furries in public while driving this week. that is not a usual experience
It's not surprising so many influences are like emotionally dead because that is probably the only type of person who can survive like that
Everything I hear about influencers lives sounds very depressing. Like their lives often look glamorous and appealing, but like, your entire life at that point becomes "work." So you don't get to truely experience anything or enjoy the ideal life you are pretending to live.
