I like them both but I’m drawn to the pressed one - it feels somehow more multidimensional and textural.

So this drawing was where it started and even though I look at it now and see the flaws, it has a lot of meaning for me - about myself as much as GO itself.

A year or so before s2 I’d tentatively started making art again after a gap of about 10 years. I’d been put off by a careless former partner, and life got in the way.

GO opened up the creative floodgates. I basically couldn’t stop making art. It’s helped me in all sorts of ways and I’m so grateful.

Heheh the temptation of art supplies is so powerful! And yeah I’ve been getting them as individual pencils every so often. And then used up a Christmas present or two! That sounds similar to the paper I use 😊

Yeah I tried some cheap Faber-Castell ones to start with and these are a whole other league. They definitely take a bit of practice, though. And I find the paper makes a big difference too to the ability to layer and move them around - decent watercolour paper def works best.

Thank you ! These are Caran D’ache aquarelle, which I love - really rich pigment. But pricey, so I’ve been slowly building my collection!

Tbf Heaven’s lighting is not flattering to anyone at all, so you may be right. But the grey just washes him out a bit to my mind - it’s too cold. Much prefer him in a cream, I think.
