I'm curious, does anyone else get ads that push products with Huberman's seal of approval on @kavehmd.bsky.social podcasts, or is it just me?

I know this isn't subject to herd immunity, but the attach on vaccines why we got the first HPV vaccine for our kid today. I just need them to stay on the market for 6 months so she can get her booster.
I just wish there was a single cabinet member who hadn't completely lost the plot this time around.
Work forced me into using the new Outlook today. Violence may be the best option for the rest of the day.
In all fairness, there are a lot of words on that list that I primarily hear coming from republicans/conservatives. Most are descriptive words, used once to get the point across, then moved on from. It's the right that obsesses over them.
How very David Bowie of you. I love that for you.
The "lists" for kits have both gotten better and worse over time. But I wouldn't say any of them are great.
It's the lack of any kind of follow-up or explanation as to why you should do those things that bothers me most.
I think what bothers me most is how it always seems so superficial and never bothers to explain WHY those things would be important. I mean, how hard would it be to get some sort of testimonial from people who actually followed the advice?
Why is the vast majority of emergency management public messaging stuck in the, "be aware, make a plan, build a kit" rut? How is that truly helpful and advancing public awareness of what the field actually does?
Draw a line south from Galesburg and west from Champaign, and that would be me, Jacksonville.
Heck yeah, you can hire us to come in and pretend like we're actually checking things out. Then we'll make a fancy PowerPoint about how your company is doing amazing. We can even put it into a report with a nice cover. I don't see how this could possibly fail.
They wouldn't be very good consultants if they told you everything was great. Although you may have just given me an idea for a business model.
Give it time...
They could...but probably won't. Besides Americans are generally bad at knowing enough history to understand this isn't our first rodeo with concentration camps.
Make that 3 of us. I was raised not 20 miles from there.
These are the descendants of the people you see smiling in any school integration photo from the 50s and 60s. Shame is simply not an emotion they are capable of.
An unpopular opinion for those who smoke meats: if you can't do it well with basic equipment then you don't need to buy that $1k+ pellet smoker.
On a side note, I made some fantastic smoked chicken on the Weber kettle tonight.
The delayed effects are going to be the real tragedy. Especially since those responsible for them will be long gone by then.
I support that plan.
The urge to just burn it all down and go start a hobby farm is strong today. Anyway, how's your Thursday going?
Maybe I'm thinking wrong here, but I feel like an ideal public health and a healthy America are two different ideas at this point. That being said, I would put something in the framework where states cannot steal the funds meant for local public health.
I feel like you are in my neighborhood bc I was thinking the exact same thing.
I'm not sure. Given this group of people, though, I have a feeling they see equity as a weakness. Rural Nebraska isn't exactly known as open minded.
For those that don't know, the BEAD program was Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment. So you can imagine why its funds got cut. ๐
Apparently more than half of the locations in my county that were eligible to receive broadband under the BEAD program are no longer eligible, and the commissioners are surprised. Unfortunately, this is what they voted for and they cannot see the connection.
