Why do they call it an accident?

40 or 50 years ago southeastern PA had lots of these. The startle of a pheasant spooking and taking off is forever burnt into my brain--that panicked flapping and warbling scream of terror. Haven't seen (or startled) one for at least 30 years.

Got it. My Twitter acct. supported my books and authorship..and, natch, publishers urge authors to treat politics somewhat...gingerly(?). But X under Elmo was increasingly caustic and mostly just awful. I love the vibe and audience here at Blue...and support progressives. And, my books do tend woke.
