Just reading about what could happen if the US and Israel keep bombing the Bushehr power plant and the stupidity, insanity and pure evil running rampant right now is sickening beyond belief.

And anyone who doubts how insane and depraved he is, consider this 'Easter message'
Anyone who doubts how insane and depraved Trump is, take a look at his 'Easter message'.
My substack piece on Trump, the Stone Age and the 'silence of the lambs' re US-Israeli war crimes that is paving the way for even greater calamities. open.substack.com/pub/mattcarr...
Insane, lying, ignorant, stupid, psychotic speech from a man who is far closer to the 'stone age' in moral stature and intellectual capacity than the country of 93 million he wants to send there 'where they belong'.
Like watching evolution going into reverse.
Thanks America!
For 2 weeks my novels The Devils of Cardona and The Emperor of Seville are both available on Kindle for £.0.99. Devils has never been published in the UK before and Emperor hasn't been published anywhere:www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FTMBZNT7
My substack news letter on the MAGA fantasy of American greatness... and that fantasy is coming apart. mattcarr.substack.com/p/moby-trump
So the criminal madman is 'postponing' his threat to blow up Iran's energy infrastructure - a war crime - and wreck the lives of millions both inside and outside Iran.
Thank you criminal madman. As Mark Rutte would say, we're really grateful to you for keeping us safe.
On the day Trump threatens to bomb Iran's energy and water facilities, Rutte jumps straight in with full support for Trump’s lies.
This is not diplomacy but shameful, grovelling complicity in this criminal catastrophe.
Trump: Rushes into illegal war
Illegal war doesn't go well
Trump discovets that Strait of Hormuz exists
Pleads with allies to keep it open
Allies see the trick. Dont want to be dragged into illegal war
Trump threatens NATO

My substack newsletter on the military doctrines behind the bombing of Tehran's oil refineries and the devastation of Beirut: mattcarr.substack.com/p/black-rain
Trump now claiming that 'based on what Jared told me', he believed that Iran was going to attack the US.🤡🤡🤡🤡
Seems clear now that Iran is 'winning' this atrocious conflict. Not in the sense that it can define the superpower and its lackey, but through surviving.
Clear also that millions of people in Iran and beyond, will pay a terrible price for Trump and Netanyahu's reckless criminality.
My piece on the Aspects of Crime website on prisons, crime and policing in 16th century Seville. aspectsofcrime.com/law-and-diso...
And blowing up an oil refinery, thereby pouring burning oil through and potentially lethal contamination on to a city of 9 million?
We know the answer. But once again, the silence is deafening.
Wouldn't want to upset our 'allies' etc etc.
We will all pay for this
And blowing up a girls school in multiple strikes?
Once again, there is only the rustle of tumbleweed
What if Iran, in the midst of negotiations with US and Israel, suddenly carried out missile strikes on Washington, perhaps blowing up the White House?
'Treacherous...deceitful...intolerable evil etc'
Yet when Israel and US do it...nothing
How do you think Western govs would react if Iran found a way to kill Trump or Netanyahu?
My guess is 'horrifying', 'monstrous barbarism', 'rogue state', 'lawless terrorism' etc
Yet barely a word of criticism re. assassination of Khameini
Lots of discussion of rising oil prices etc today. Not a word of protest from any of the defenders of the 'rules-based order' about what Trump/Israel have done to a city with a population of 9 million people.
"This is gangster-imperialism in practice. This is one more reason why Operation Epic Fury should be called Operation Epic Depravity: a rampant display of lawless violence, unconstrained by any humanitarian or legalistic considerations or any pretensions to nation building or democracy building."
"In The Godfather...Michael Corleone attends his nephew’s baptism, while his hitmen massacre the rival Barzini and the Tataglia families, who the Corleones had lured into a negotiated peace. The Witkoff/Kushner team played the same game with the Iranians..."

A weird and disconcerting combination of messianic self-belief, hubris, cynicism, intellectual shallowness, and grovelling servility to the rich and powerful.
Not in the least surprised that Tony Blair wanted the UK to support the criminal US-Israeli strikes. A thoroughly despicable, hollow, messianic, dogmatic advocate of endless war,who has never reflected, never learned anything, never understood how shallow he is.
Yep. I don't see him doing it though
This is coming. Starmer is not Sánchez. You may prefer him to Badenoch and Farage in this situation - who wouldn't? But he will fold and join this fuckery and already partly has:

Not in the least surprised by this. Starmer 'standing up to Trump' was always theatre/sleight of hand, eliding the distinction between offensive/defensive.
He may not be Badenoch but he is closer to Merz than he is to Sánchez.
Sánchez saying what should be said. How much would I like to have leaders in this country who can talk like this
This is the kind of orientalist racist garbage that people like Niall Ferguson used to spout.
You don't have to love the Iranian regime to recognize that it is as capable of geopolitical decisions in what it perceives as its national interest as any other county.
