Also, a large amount of charity entries are people using a run/walk method. They will be out there for hours and hours and have also raised thousands of dollars for charities that desperately need the money for a chance to tackle their goal. Meanwhile a giant ass corporation is making fun of them.

Unless you are a professional athlete, a marathon is a personal race. No one else is going to win it. It's you and your goal. Whether you run the whole thing, use a run/walk method, power walk (have you seen the speed they can get?) or wear a damn taco costume, you are just as valid.
