I don’t know, perhaps it’s a new trend. I serve all my homemade meals with a one-plate concept, but I keep the ingredients separate.

Our car now has summer tires and hubby and I drove to the mall for dinner. Hubby wanted to try something new, (that’s why he looks a bit worried). We chose grilled chicken breast with Béarnaise sauce, mash and sautéed vegetables and a fresh side salad. The verdict: a decent meal! 🍜
Today is the time to get rid of the winter tires… the weather forecast calls for sleet and cold for the weekend! 🤷♀️ The spring weather is always so fickle!

I went grocery shopping with my son and we had a buffet lunch in the local Chinese Fu Lam restaurant: sushi for starters and beef in black bean sauce and chicken in sweet/sour sauce, dumplings, prawn crackers and a fresh side salad.
Our favourite cafe was temporarily closed! 😢 🍜

Many of you have started the grilling season. I used my grill oven, made chicken flats marinated in olive oil, honey, soy sauce, pepper. I also grilled potato wedges and served them with fresh vegetable salad, pickled beetroots with a drizzle of vinaigrette/pear juice dressing. 🍜

We had our dinner at Höyry restaurant: pan fried vendaces with mash, pork schnitzel with wild mushroom sauce, fries.
Since we are not in Italy, we CAN drink cappuccino for dessert. 🍜
Karelian pies are made of rye flour and filled either with rice porridge or mashed potato.
Egg butter is a mixture of boiled eggs and a small amount of butter to hold the mixture together. It's a traditional way to serve Karelian pies. 🇫🇮
