The few beginning scenes with Forrest Whitaker annoyed the crap out of me. His character was too too much. You playback a scratchy recording of a
language that’s never been heard before and get mad because I can’t immediately decipher it?

Liked this one very much!
Deeper meaning for me. Amy Adams was so good! She made the movie so believable. No stupid jokes. No “I can do everything, I’m great” attitude. She showed vulnerability which is rare in these types of movies.

Watched 2 other sci-fi movies. Trying to broaden my horizons. Pun intended.
