This online session will be a facilitated space for academics, professional staff, and students alike to share our experiences with AI and discuss when and how universities should embrace AI, and when they should stay well clear of it.

Whether it's in teaching, assessments, publishing, research, professional development, or administration, AI has become inescapable in university life. An AI-saturated future is treated as inevitable, and those not embracing it are told they will be left behind.

🚨AI-powered killing isn’t unique to the US military. In 2025 the UK government announced a partnership with Palantir to “boost military AI”. The tech giant is embedding itself across UK infrastructure, including in the Financial Conduct Authority, the police, and the NHS.

Project Maven is made possible by Palantir Technologies. In recent weeks, Palantir’s Maven Smart System, which uses Anthropic’s Claude AI, has been used to carry out deadly bombings in Iran.
