Sometimes the research phase feels like unnecessary bureaucracy. The real impact comes from the creative process. Exploring more iterations and concepts always leads to better results. Extra research doesn’t seem to have the same effect, at least not for my work and projects.

Working with top creators and entrepreneurs has taught me to be more action-focused. I’m still amazed at how quickly they make decisions without overthinking. It’s a skill worth learning.

Some of my best clients didn’t just show up in my inbox. Early on, I’d email people I wanted to work with, offer advice, fix small issues on their site, or suggest improvements. Then I’d follow up to see if they needed a redesign. It worked more often than you’d think.

It’s wild how hard it can be to just let go...

My wife and I decided to slow down and "enjoy life" more a while ago. What we realized is how much we actually need work to feel fulfilled and how accomplishing things makes life even more enjoyable. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve been doing this for a while by offering my time on a “monthly retainer”. I have a small team, so that also helps if the client needs more than creative direction and doesn’t have an internal team to execute it. I think it’s very flexible arrangement for both designers and clients.

I like how clean and fresh bluesky has been so far. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but I just hope to stay in touch with my online friends here and not necessarily learn 10 new ways to make $20k a month from airbnbs without investing your own money 🤔
