Totally different imo. We're all now fully clear how Madrid are going to operate and we can't have that happen for a second year in a row. If they can get £40m+ this summer then take it. I'd hate to lose him as he's quality player but to lose him on a free would be criminal.

Again he might sign but he can't be allowed to do a Trent. World Cup year gives us a massive bargaining chip to force his hand. If he doesn't sign, get 2 Centre Backs in sharpish this summer and make it clear he'll be 4th choice at best
To avoid another #Trent, #LFC need to make it clear to #Konate that he accepts a contract offer or finds another club this summer. Make it clear he won't be anywhere near first choice if he decides to stay and see out his contract. Hate to be so blunt to a quality player but we need to move on.
