Looks like @acs.org is wrecking its DEI style guide. A month ago you could find guidelines for writing about gender or about race. Now those and other sections are gone, replaced with "page undergoing upgrade." As far as I know, ACS is doing this by choice. #chemsky
A collection of pieces highlighting an all-too-often overlooked aspect of DEI in chemistry: disability. The articles are grouped into four themes related to breaking down barriers (i) in the scientific community, (ii) in the lab, (iii) to studying and (iv) at conferences.

As a reporter I certainly appreciate a more understandable talk. Not that there will be a reporter at every talk, or that we’re the most important audience at conferences.
We’re definitely eligible in more than one category. Chemistry obviously. 🦠 for Physiology or Medicine. Surely we can make an argument for Physics. Seems like it should be easy for the Academy to make this happen.
There’s always next year.
