That said, it'd be nice if we can touch back down for the fourth and final season and experience more of the grounded themes and reality of the first two seasons to round things off.

I've really enjoyed how Atlanta season three really leaned into surreality and took entire episodes out to explore other characters and themes. I saw it described as having a fairytale quality; this is very apt, but definitely the old school children-being-eaten kind of fairytale!
Or fucking HANDS omg
Thanks to Zazie Beetz and the third season finale of Atlanta, I'm never going to be able to listen to a French accent or look at a baguette in the same way ever again.
After starting S5 of The Boys last night and wondering if I'd dream of being hunted by Homelander, I did in fact dream of being hunted by Homelander.
The fact it's called the NWA and it's never acknowledged apart from one silent reaction from Angel too

Watching Hot Fuzz this evening. It makes me so happy, it's one of my favourites. Every moment is just nearly perfect!
This really is one of the greats!
Congratulations! A great time ๐
Exogate Initiative: 50% off a base building game that's a cross between Stargate: SG-1 and Evil Genius? Yes, please. It's playing pretty well so far after a couple of hours.
Why thank you
"Complicit in my Own Extortion" is the first single from your emo band's album
A picture of me sporting a new haircut, not sure how much more detail I can go into so sorry
Hair did
My popular with friends feed is down. How am I going to vicariously look at thirst accounts now?
A screenshot of Darkswitch showing a settlement at the base of and up the side of a great tree. Foreboding fog surrounds the settlement.
Completed DarkSwitch this evening. Fans of Frostpunk and the like should definitely check it out, although perhaps after a few more hotfixes! Quite a lot of story content and branching paths to take. The concept of building a town around and up the side of a great tree was also interesting.
Me with a race bib number holding up a finisher medal hung around my neck grinning madly after finishing a 10k. There are many people around me and a lil glimpse of the sea behind me.
Second ever 10k, first ever organised run! Respectable finish time, but more importantly it was a lovely and interesting route running through a Mersey Tunnel and along the promenade in New Brighton. And the weather held! Altogether feeling very happy with the experience ๐โโ๏ธ๐
My existing copy of Terraforming Mars with Prelude, and below Colonies and Hellas & Elysium.
An in-progress game of Terraforming Mars (which I am losing by a fair clip)
Lovely Saturday board game with Terraforming Mars. I got Colonies as a gift ages ago and never tried it, and treated myself to Hellas and Elysium this week, perhaps inspired by seeing all of the Artemis II footage! Accompanied by the Stellaris soundtrack for an immersive sci-fi experience.
Already seen spoilers for The Boys, gonna have to watch it the moment each episode comes out, aren't I? ๐
As genuinely touching as this was, it's also hilarious because I think the producers were expecting a fun lil bit to start the season with and everyone had an actual nervous breakdown, such a misfire
Ah yes the cycle of meetings...! So efficient.
Something I never realised before starting a more office-y job is the sheer time and effort you lose trying to get information from people. Spending ages crafting a message or talking someone through what you want, only for them to almost willfully misunderstand you. Not just once. Over and over.
Ran my first ever 10k this morning ๐โโ๏ธ
I do love getting into a bed with fresh bedding ๐ฅฐ
What is this from? I need to formally complain about being lumped in with Londoners.
A positively enormous amount of food, a roast dinner with mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, ham, turkey, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, stuffing, gravy and a Yorkshire pudding
"I might have gone a bit overboard with your portion size," says my mother, as she gestures to 1.5 metric tons of food on my plate.
Star Trek First Contact scene, and if you haven't watched this one you should cancel all plans and view immejietly. (Also has a Mark S from Severance cameo) Ok, it's nighttime and we're close in on 2 dudes, closest is Zefram Cochrane, and just behind him is William T. Riker, famous tromboner. Both are in civilian clothes, Riker a leather jacket, and Zefram in a bomber type coat with the white fluffy wooly stuffing around the collar. Zefram is also wearing a weird black hat that is sort of like a bandana in form and function, but instead of fabric it's bedazzled leather. He's speaking, and looks kind of dumbfounded or stumped. Closed caption reads, "You're all....astronauts .. on some kind of Star Trek" Happy First Contact Day ๐๐ผ
