📚 A woman just walked into our library with a dozen donuts. She works at a bookstore but used to work at a library, and she was thinking of us and fighting for us. She said she hoped the donuts helped a little and to reach out to her at her bookstore if we needed anything. I've never felt so seen.

SCOOP: DOGE notified the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences (IMLS) today that the entire staff is being put on administrative leave effective immediately, I’ve learned from an agency source.

They’ll be cancelling huge swaths of grants/contracts and starting a Reduction in Force (RIF).

I don't use either, but I did want to say that if you're a library user, you can borrow books and have them sent to your Kindle and use it but not give them more money.
