Cards make a beautiful scene
A beautiful game of Harmonies
I’ve started to avoid expansions in general, but I would buy one Santa Monica which is begging for one and The Vale of Eternity.
I would expect the person introducing the game to point out a pyramid deck or number of seeded cards for event or endgame triggers. Beyond that I would just play the game and see what happens.
Box covers of nine games
I love this set of games played in the beginning of March. My lovely wife played about half of them with me. #boardgames
Solus Lost box cover and damage scale on iPhone.
Really liking Solus Lost. Solo game and I won 2 of 5 games so far. I put the pdf of the damage scale on my iPhone. #boardgames
Main board
Player board
Learning Salton Sea from #devirgames and I have to say I love the color palette and how evocative it is of the theme. #boardgames
Unsettled Planet Grakkis ready to go.
Happiness is Task A ready to play in Unsettled after a long day 🤩 #boardgames
Trismegistus board in front of box cover.
Trismegistus is rated as pretty complex, but I didn’t think it is as complex as some. Really like the uses of dice drafting and getting to pick how much strength the dice can provide. It might be a bit on rails because the endgame goal is the same which also provides the most points. Fun!
Indeed! I got Trismegistis and Witchstone played.
Is that score 3-2 green wins?
Sure. I’ll play test it. I sent you an email so you can send the pdf. Looking forward to it!!
Thanks. The components and game saving system are really innovative.
Sunny Lane box behind game board with houses.
The game cards are the color of the spaces.
I stumbled upon a 2023 Reiner Knizia game in my FLGS. Sunrise Lane is a quick playing, real-deal Knizia game. There is high player interaction as you try to achieve end game goals of making the highest, most, and biggest sets of houses in the Lane. All the feel of a big RK game in a small package.
Awesome. Sounds like a winner. My FLGS just got it in and I eyed it. I watched some YouTube on it and wasn’t inspired. What was the best part of it for your group? I need to know if I should pick it up-ahhh FOMO.
I was just thinking about breaking Pairs back out. I haven’t played in a while. Thanks for the reminder
I absolutely love the Red Rains expansion. Aradel is a great fighter. How did you do?
The game board top 5. I’ll start listening to them from newest to oldest now. I love how you focus on games.
Just listened to your podcast for the first time. Glad I found it!
Every time I see the name of this game I start playing Night Train from Guns & Roses in my head. I have it and is a good game.
Easily Gloomhaven.
Yikes. Good to know.
box cover near highly detailed game pieces made of Re-wood
Two sets of sliders with cards represent the economy of the city
Kutná Hora looks complicated, but once you get going the turns fly by. You basically plan your whole round at once so your ready when tour turn comes around. Love the economy system. Re-wood pieces are very detailed. Fun Eurogame
Ashes Reborn Red Rains is top of the list now. Also 20 Strong has my interest.
Excellent solo resources. I recently adopted your same philosophy as I cull my 600+ game collection and target solo play options.
Same question? Hard to believe that’s “entry” level Maracaibo 😵💫
Is this a new version or the three games combined? Thanks?
So you watch TV and play board games at the same time too. Fun!
Yes. A family favorite!!
What’s the gist of how this game works? Intriguing title but wonder how it is a GMT type game. I just saw this at my FLGS.
