Having use Floette for my climb to MB, and only slotting in Aerodactyl late - yes, she is.

Fairy Aura is just too nutty, and she has better bulk and slightly more speed than Gardie.

Less versatile movepool, but when your moonblasts hit that hard, are you really worried?

Yeah like Champions in and of itself doesn't feel P2W. If anything I wish they'd cash shop the cosmetics so I can use VP ONLY on acquiring and customizing pokemon

But it's arrival has done nothing to fix the core problem:

You still need to buy and play all the previous games to be well off enough.

Well, they'd better figure it out, because otherwise Champions isn't gonna amount to much.

Pokemon accessibility is a bigger issue than the rules clarifications or lessening available mons and items.

Like it'd be fun to play mythicals more, and it they'd put them in the champions shop/ranch if think it'd be much more possible - it's not like the ranch obtained ones can leave champions.

This is what happens when they don't make all competitive pokemon readily accessible.

Honestly the recruit feature should be able to have the ability to wishlist a specific Mon, or there should be some internal distributions.

I've mostly been single mega since champions launch. I messed with dual mega in some of the private server pre champ formats, and I can see a case for them if you have a matchup that you need a specific solution for, but yeah, single mega is fine

As much as I love Milotic, Palafin has been so unbelievably clutch and even baby form makes most charizards take cover. xD

I'll have to try those two now that I'm in master ball and feel like I can experiment a bit.

Watched two Mega Crabominable team showcases yesterday, got inspired, made my own, jumped in a limitless tour that started with 100 people about 3 hours later.

I'll say 4-3 wasn't bad! Team needs some cooking but:
Lycanroc Dusk, Mega Crabominable, Slowking, Aromatisse, Incineroar, and Araquanid!

I don't have Orthworm, but I went with Kingambit! Makes handling Mega Gengar a breeze, and gambit and floette make good defensive swaps for one another.

You should absolutely start with rentals, find your style, etc.

But, building your own can create better fits, and help you understand how everything works and give you a more intuitive grasp of your team.
