This was shit we were fighting twenty years ago. More than that, actually.

I truly hate when little Right Wing Hitler youth open their mouths and give opinions in their over sized fake glasses, that they think will make them seem smart ,on things they know nothing about.
But listen to a real farmer rip her apart.
rightwingers minds are amazing
Trying a new style of write only posts where I just post it while offline
Post post post!

it's never fun being up all night trying to keep systems online, but it is great to see co-workers shine and just bulldoze through it.
we are not fully out of the woods on this incident, and it will probably be a while before there is any sort of post-mortem.
but not, it's not from vibe coding.
More jealous you didn’t lose connectivity during the outage, I didn’t know of any backup appviews to point my PDS to that accepts arbitrary PDSes :(
hugops!
We’re back?!
test
If I keep poasting will the server come back?

Turned on NBC. They talked about “President tipping a DoorDash driver $100”.
This woman participated in GOP ads before playing other roles. There is no DoorDash deliveries to the Oval Office. Please exercise proper judgement when consuming news.
Someone casually dropped a full mesh-connected multiplayer first-person-shooter for the @emfcamp.bsky.social badge, with procedurally generated map of the campsite. Wtf.

Hopefully I might self host my PDS locally with a battery backed server + router + ONT, would be fun :)
RE your backup setup, I personally run a command to create a backup of the DB every night, and use litestream.io to live replicate the database to R2 for backup - I believe I turned down how often it did that, to make sure me sending a lot of posts didn’t cause a ton of CPU spikes 😅
everyone involved in the dismantling of USAID should be forced to spend their lives watching graphic videos of what they have subjected people to in their callousness, clockwork orange style
This whole thing was a setup for TV and that any news organization takes this even remotely at face value is going to turn me into the Joker.
@baileytownsend.dev made a small gatekeeper app that can be deployed alongside PDSes to add email 2FA to a PDS - I’m unsure if Northsky intend to add it or another 2FA solution?

CHRISTINA KOCH GREETING HER DOG AFTER RETURNING FROM THE MOON IM GONNA CRYYY 😭😭😭
Reminds me of the person who got their Tesco Clubcard tattooed.. and I seem to remember they used the QR code on their phone and not the static code from the physical card 😅
Yes they are, we have quite a few in Manchester though 17070 won’t work - the speaking clock at 123 might, or try 0871 976 2819 but remember this is paid so I don’t recommend from a mobile line!
There’s quite a few in Manchester but definitely dwindling, I would recommend going to try the phones if you’re curious before they disappear: 17070 should be fine, press 1 and clear down for a ring back test!
I am once again asking if anybody who follows me has an old payphone they don’t want (as long as I’m not accepting a carcass of a phone!) that I will take it ♡
A KX300, (an uncommon type of public payphone BT deployed, which has a triangular kiosk with optional door instead of the typical square models) in front of a “The Co-Operative Food” store, and to the left of a public waste bin. The phone is somewhat visible from this shot, but only the handset, the cable, and some of the coin box.
The payphone inside said KX300, with some scratches and water present on the handset and payphone unit itself. The LCD, while scratched and hard to read from this angle, says “BT PAYPHONES”, with the BT public display above the phone. The address of Castle Street, Stockport is shown on this notice.
Today’s fun: Got caught in a rainstorm while in Stockport/Edgeley, while using a rare KX300 payphone!
Did not enjoy the rain and hid in the kiosk while calling an Uber - see, they can be useful!
