Kim’s the ear worm author, I’m afraid! I can’t take credit for that awesome sauce!

Imagined citation alert -- SimonW wrote about security but not about hooks like this. Others have, just not Simon. Shame, because I love "if something matters, make it a hook" and "Advisory is theater. Either make it exit 2 or accept the variance."

We had 50 people in a cyclone. That works for me!

I made it home. Bass player shot through to Auckland. Rest of the band holing up in Whangārei.

Gawd the strong winds at home! 😬

Hello from Whangarei, in the thick of it, where our gig is about to start. We have "what if the power goes out?" plans, which is a first for us.

I “guess” because my workloads never really leant themselve to GitHub and cloud agents so you are way ahead of me in that area! I didn’t mean to sound like the old man grudgingly accepting the young woman’s point!

I meant to sound like an entirely different type of old man lol

Nice! Mine uses agentsview to get insight into what’s happening on my various local Claudes. I guess if you’re doing all your work through GitHub’s linked agents then Copilot hooks would work too. github.com/wesm/agentsv...

Nice! I just built a system tray app that watches my Claude Code sessions and heckles me like Waldorf and Statler. I’m using a cheap model to generate the heckles so the “jokes” are appropriately bad.

Thank you, that's so kind of you to ask! Wayne (promoter) is handling all that so it's not in our hands.

Thank you! It’s by a NZ musician and artist, Andy Knopp. We knew roughly what we wanted and he helped solidify it and then knocked it out of the park. We are so chuffed.
Here’s Andy’s profile:

I savaged mocked Rob for the lunacy of thinking he saw a turtle in the river. “The turtles” became a running joke for me.

I deservedly ate humble pie in Wellington when the verification came through. I expect there’ll be more bass solos on the next album, sigh.

Friends we’ve been on the Aotearoa music charts since we launched the album! This is the first week we’re not touring and selling merch. If you’re interested and able, consider buying a copy from Bandcamp: youmeeverybody.bandcamp.com Every one counts! Thank you!

It is amazing what the passage of time does. I remember everyone being so knickers-in-a-twist about the "harsh and unlistenable" sounds of bands that are barely one step above golden oldies soft rock today. I feel like people must have been reacting as much to novelty as intrinsic qualities.

I'm such a dork. I spent entirely too long going "hmm, I don't remember POKE 69420, 1 on the C-64. 16-bit addresses only went up to 65,535. Is this an Amiga thing?" etc.

USD7.41/Gal for diesel in NZ on average

Our local station ran out, though, so price is currently irrelevant

I had to do the math after a friend told me over dinner that it was USD 8/gal here in New Zealand. He was right. Aie!
