Surprisingly, this is the first Mac to give up on me in over 20 years. My first was the iconic Power Mac G4 Cube—such a sleek, little machine. Still one of my favorites!

My MacBook Air M1 gave up on me last week after a solid four years of service. No hard feelings. I was planning to upgrade to the M4 Air anyway, but obviously couldn’t wait for that. Got a discounted M3 instead.

At least no awkward surprises from relatives you barely know. Unless, of course, past-you decided to pack like that uncle who gives you a single sock and calls it a day.

Sounds like you’ve found a way that works for you! I’ve also noticed more and more people stepping away from global comparisons. A lot of them are focusing either on themselves or on connecting within their close circle of friends, though. Feels much more personal and less stressful.
