A mother cauldron crouches protectively beside a pair of younger cauldrons
Collage mug with three eyes drawn in blue
Tiny dark brown clay jar, still wet, with decorative lines
A rotund lidded jar with carved knob and cutout for a spoon. A very good boi. Shape reminiscent of pooh bears honey pot.

Star Trek The Original Series scene. We're in a medical looking room, with lavender and blue colors shading the walls and background. McCoy is shown closer in. He's sitting in a chair and looking up, holding hands together near his chin together like he's praying. He's looking up with bulgy wide open eyes as if he's being possessed or electrocuted. Around his head is a clear plastic deal that reminds me of when you get a perm and need to sit to let the curls set for an hour and chat with the other perm getters on all the hot pop culture goss. The clear shell around his head is large and has like 50 little silver metal tools attached to it, pointing down towards his head. Like he's part of a big science experiment. No caption.

Gradients, smudge tool, blur - they’re all great tools, until your art turns into a blurry mess. A soft rendering style is not easy to pull off, which is why I made a video about it ~ this one comes with 3 smudge brushes that I made myself! ✨

Tweet from Sonny that says “don’t watch a 3 hour YouTube vid about colour theory just pick from this photo I’m not joking,” with the picture of Jim Henson and the muppets
This is a technique I’ve used for years because of this one tweet from @sonnyross.bsky.social. Thank you Sonny for changing my life
The book cover was designed by Talia Abramson at Penguin but they let me have a bit of a say over the colours. And I said boy do I have an idea….

if white Americans didn’t want Mexicans in California maybe they should not have conquered California from Mexico and then spent 150 years building up an economy entirely dependent on the flow of people and goods across the border just a thought
Folks, remember
Stucco head of a woman
Profile of the stucco head
Visited the Wadsworth Athenaeum recently and found one of my favorite objects.
Head of a woman (stucco)
4th-5th century CE Greco-Buddhist
Hadda, Eastern Afghanistan
Possibly a bodhisattva (enlightened being), this head was once part of a larger sculpture made of unfired clay.
How'd nonviolence and compliance with the empire work out for Lando and Cloud City?
Really really hope this does what I want it to. I don't want a bad glaze to ruin this mug!
Star Trek Deep Space Nine scene. Odo sits daintily at his cute widdle DS9 desk with his chinsey winsey resting on his handsy-wandsy. He's watching something and seems amused by it. No caption.
Wikipedia definition of "idiot plot": In literary criticism, an idiot plot is one which is "kept in motion solely by virtue of the fact that everybody involved is an idiot",[1]: 26 and where the story would quickly end, or possibly not even happen, if this were not the case.

Wood firing results. I'm delighted!
Second shift! Much busier. I was lucky enough to be here for the lighting of the kiln and for sealing it up! All kinds of magic and alchemy happening in that red-hot belly....

I recently learned about cabbageware. Here’s a WIP of my take on it. It’s a fermentation jar!
