It’s just after 1 a.m. The South Shore neighborhood is swallowed by darkness, sprinkled with the faint hum of distant traffic and the occasional siren in the far distance.

Stoke fear. Exploit desperation. Suspend the rule of law. Fan brutality.

Every time the stronger brutalize the weak, it’s fundamentally the same playbook.

Our duty is to stand up to brutality.

Our moral obligation is to protect the vulnerable and hold the powerful accountable.

The thing that makes me the sickest is that these folks don’t even have a shred of compassion. It’s one thing to enforce laws and rules. It’s another to do it gleefully and celebrate the suffering of someone born into poverty and desperation

Two-thirds of National Park Service employees have been furloughed during the ongoing government shutdown, worsening an already severe staffing shortage. With limited personnel remaining, essential maintenance, law enforcement, and visitor services are significantly reduced.

News today that ICE shot a woman is chilling. The videos online show that there are some abusive, masked thugs masquerading as law enforcement.

Nobody deserves this. The courts need to step in.

Am I the only 40-something tired of having to swap social media platforms due to political insanity? 😭 I just wanna watch funny videos and talk to people and discuss books. Stop trying to turn me MAGA. It ain't happening.

Just a gentle reminder that horrible things and malicious acts exist alongside miracles, art, and acts of kindness. It's good to keep the whole picture loosely in mind, but to focus your camera mostly on what strengthens you and allows you to play your best part in this story.

As more info comes in this needs to be said: if it wasn’t some left wing radical that did it, and it appears it wasn’t, there need to be massive pushback because they are STILL pretending it’s some culture war and it is only in their own minds

Playing TTRPGs with friends is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening. It's tremendously fun and is a chance to connect with people in ways we don't normally have the chance to in the modern world.

Plus it's pure play. Adults don't play enough, and having the ability to is magic.
