Today I'm doing some fun admin tasks. You heard right - "fun admin tasks"!
I've booked my hotel for @fosdem.bsky.social 2026. Next up is hotel & ticket for @oggcamp.bsky.social 2026.
I hope to see some of you lovely folk at one or both of these next year ๐

This is my first proper photography post after splitting my photography and rambling/hiking writing off from my technical blog. It's an updated [โฆ]

I've gone with @ghost.org as a blogging platform for this one instead of a static site generator to make it easier to layout a mix of photos and text together in a nice way.
I'm still figuring things out with Ghost but it's looking good so far!
Having a separate site for photography, rambling up the hills and personal updates will let me refocus my existing blog at pbarker.dev on the software, open source and tech policy stuff.
New blog: touchinggrass.co.uk/an-introduct...
I spend a lot of time online. This means a few things:

I'm particularly interested in talking about network drivers, upstream-first development and license compliance (all in the context of Embedded Linux) so definitely reach out if you're interested in those topics.
#FOSDEM #FOSDEM2025
As usual I will be at FOSDEM this weekend! If anyone wants to catch up or chat about Embedded Linux, Yocto Project, U-Boot or related topics then let me know and I'll share my contact details so we can find each other.

Each talk I've given has a corresponding post on my site. Where available, I've included the abstract, slides and video recording for each talk.
A screenshot from the Linux MAINTAINERS file, showing my name listed as one of the two maintainers of the Renesas Ethernet AVB driver.
As part of my work in the Linux kernel for Renesas, I am now co-maintainer of the RAVB Ethernet driver used by many R-Car and RZ SoCs.
