This year, @americanrivers.bsky.social placed the Lumbee River on its list of Most Endangered Rivers due to contamination from PFAS & other “forever chemicals.” See their write-up here 👇🏽. I’m also dropping links below to some of my research on river’s environment, history, & cultural significance.

Please support efforts to build the Democratic bench. We need to promote and uplift all Democratic candidates, and especially indigenous candidates continue or build a career in public service.
Honestly still in shock by its placement, but my article (and job talk paper), “Indigenous Constitutionalism,” is officially out in the Harvard Law Review. A brief thread on this project🧵

Super important podcast episode about a PFAS settlement for tribes. The deadline to get water tested to be a part of the settlement is soon. Water testing by a qualified group has to be done by July 1. creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/...

Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico is a UNESCO World Heritage Site containing over a thousand years of Indigenous history ancient ruins, sacred sites, and cultural landmarks built by the ancestors of today’s Pueblo peoples.
While the conversations are going; I need everyone to recognize & speak up on the fact that trump also snuck in fast tracking mining & destroying indigenous ancestral land for oil.
He is going against indigenous leaders.
It took one week for him to claim our land.
Last night (4/1), NDN, Black Hills Clean Water Alliance, and Earthworks filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Forest Service for their decision in February to grant a permit for exploratory drilling in Pe’ Sla, a sacred and protected Indigenous site.

This is appalling.
Indigenous people are the original inhabitants of this continent and, here in New Mexico, we live that truth every day. The fact that the Solicitor General of the United States would hesitate on our citizenship is outrageous and horrific.
In recognition of National Indigenous Languages Day on March 31, APTN, in partnership with YouTube, is proud to announce that its YouTube channel is now home to over 1,200 hours of Indigenous-language content across 20 distinct Indigenous languages

This will be one of the most competitive and expensive Senate races because campaigning is different in Alaska.
It's bigger than TX, MT, and CA combined and 82% of our communities are only reachable by plane, boat, or snow machine.

Re-upping the amicus I worked on in Watson v. RNC light of today’s oral argument. The TL;DR: many Native communities lack access to mail to a severe degree most people to fathom and delayed ballot receipt deadlines are critical accommodations for those realities.
Everyone should listen to this week’s Downballot podcast featuring @toreydolan.bsky.social and how election laws impact indigenous communities.
More than a third of Alaskans rely on Medicaid. We need a senator who doesn’t vote to raise their costs or kick them off their healthcare. It’s that simple.
Hi everyone! I’m running a true grassroots campaign, powered by people—not special interests. I can’t do this alone, and any support you’re able to give means the world.

On Tuesday, there's a special election for a state House seat in PA that Trump won by 33 points. But Stephen Caruso of @spotlightpa.org says Dems are "cautiously optimistic."

I don’t want anyone to have to choose between next week's groceries and next month’s rent. Working people should be able to afford their basic needs, but DC is failing working people.
