The fight to defend the Climate Law continues in Binghamton, Rochester, and Kingston on Friday: linktr.ee/renewablehea...
Delaying the Climate Law keeps NY hooked to expensive fossil fuels & we are seeing the consequences of that. “Look at the gas pump right now. Look at our heating bills. The current system that we live in is not affordable." @citizenactionny.org via cbs6albany.com/news/local/p...
On Fri, Hochul shared her proposal to weaken the Climate Law citing affordability. But, as @deborahjglick.bsky.social said at the rally, “The proposals won’t help that. We need to do everything we can to build renewables as fast as we can.” Via @spectrumnewsny1.bsky.social bit.ly/41w7rnI
Advocated walk down the capitol steps, sign reads " Defens NY's Climate Law, for clean, affordable energy"

Yesterday, 500+ NYers flooded Albany to protect the state’s Climate Law from @governor.ny.gov’s changes. Nearly 30 lawmakers joined advocates in calling Hochul out on secret negotiations & delaying getting off fossil fuels that get more expensive by the day.
@amannakelles.bsky.social “@governor.ny.gov wants to talk about affordability. The answer is CLCPA. If we know NY is one of the highest consumer of methane in the country then the only way to stabilize our bills is to get renewables. Get those regs released.”
Asm. Glick: “It is very clear that we have no details to rebut because we don’t have any leg language to look at. But what we do have is reality. There is an affordability crisis. We have a climate crisis. We need to do everything we can to build renewables as fast we can.”
@lizkrueger.bsky.social “We can be getting where we need to go despite the damage of the Trump admin.”
Happening now in Albany! Hundreds rally to defend the Climate Law, calling on legislators to not gut the Climate Law.
@senatorharckham.bsky.social @leaderasc.bsky.social @nyassemblymajority.bsky.social We're calling on you to uphold the integrity of our climate law! Don't let @governor.ny.gov change methane accounting. nystateofpolitics.com/state-of-pol...
Cutting methane emissions NOW will slow global warming down, giving us more time to adapt to climate change. Don't take our word for it. Scientists from around the world sent a letter to @governor.ny.gov l this month making the case. www.politico.com/newsletters/...
@governor.ny.gov Gas is driving the energy affordability crisis. If we change methane accounting, NY will be reliant on “natural” methane gas for decades longer. We'll waste billions on gas pipes that could have been spent on transitioning our economy. empirereportnewyork.com/climate-acti...
@timesunion.com Ed Board: As NY faces rising energy costs, @governor.ny.gov admin is delaying the climate law based on a memo with no supporting data. “New Yorkers deserve more than a cocktail-napkin cost analysis and the same-old-same-old political sniping.” www.timesunion.com/opinion/arti...
While @governor.ny.gov pushes to weaken climate mandates, NY lawmakers are doubling down on clean energy investments and affordability – including funding for consumer watchdog groups participating in utility rate hike proceedings. Read more: nysfocus.com/2026/03/10/c...
Senators Krueger, Parker, Harckham: "@governor.ny.gov is laying the groundwork to roll back one of NY’s best tools for lowering energy costs…joining [Trump’s] war on renewable energy that continues to drive up energy costs for everyone. www.nydailynews.com/2026/03/12/k...
@earthjustice.org’s Rachel Spector: “The Governor is misrepresenting key points about the lawsuit. Hochul can deliver more affordable energy bills for New Yorkers at any time by reducing our reliance on expensive and unstable gas.” Read more: spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-...

Investing $1 billion into NY’s Sustainable Future Program would create 7,400 new jobs, $1.5 billion in economic activity, and $685 million in labor income. Tell @GovKathyHochul to take action now. bit.ly/energy-affordability
The 100-foot rule costs NYers $600 million in higher energy bills each year. Thanks to @governor.ny.gov’s signature today, this outdated policy will finally be repealed, helping lower energy bills. Take a look at our press release 👇

HUGE WIN: @governor.ny.gov just signed legislation that eliminates the 100-foot rule. This outdated policy let utility companies charge customers for the expansion of the fossil fuel system. With today’s signature, we are one step closer to #CleanerHeatLowerBills in NYS.
Last week, 200+ New Yorkers gathered in Albany to urge @governor.ny.gov: Repeal the 100 foot rule and lower our energy bills! #CleanerHeatLowerBills #HeatpumpsNotPipelines

As @alstirpe.bsky.social: writes EmPower+ is “a tool to protect vulnerable NYers from dangerous weather and unsafe homes, while creating new clean energy jobs in vulnerable communities.” can’t allow for this energy efficiency program to be cut. Read more: www.syracuse.com/opinion/2025...
🔋 📈 NY lawmakers approved $1 billion to fund climate action & support the clean energy sector. As energy costs rise, NYers need @governor.ny.gov to allocate $300M of that funding towards EmPower+, NY’s energy efficiency program. Read more from @alstirpe.bsky.social

In a year where so little progress is being made on energy affordability and climate @governor.ny.gov should sign the bill that's sitting on her desk. Repeal the 100' Rule! Cut costs for ratepayers.

Across NYS, thousands have benefited from #cleanenergy upgrades like insulation and heat pumps through the EmPower+ program. But recent budget cuts slashing funding from $220 M to $80 M by 2027 could reverse this progress.
