like I get this is supposed to be a joke but like, you’re doing the opposite of what you claim by not actually showing the similarities
also looking back at the run history how am i only just now noticing that the scrolls of biting drain max hp? i noticed it this run that i had less max hp late in act 3 since i got looming fruit, but i've fought them before and apparently just never noticed that i lost max hp
wasn't til act 3 that I realized sovereign blade + cosmic indifference + flash of steel is a pretty good combo. with flex potion + vulnerable I was doing like 250 damage to the act 3 boss and was able to double up on the last turn to win
so yeah this game is pretty good, still bad at it though

god this run was so scuffed but I somehow pulled it off, first regent win and last character to win with
i was fully expecting to die in act 1. every one of those 8 campfires was a rest, plus the lizard tail and I had fairy in a bottle at one point in act 2 too
so I just saw the trailer for the backrooms movie (which is the first I’m hearing of it) and thought about how a 20 year old is adapting his YouTube series about a 4chan creepypasta into a major-ish feature film and I don’t know what to think about reality anymore
the issue with slay the spire 2 being early access is that I can't tell if an enemy is overpowered and unbalanced, or if I'm just bad

new starters always look weird at first but they'll probably grow on me, as they all have. though looking back at them just now, my reaction is "angry bird, pupper, and gex"
and it not coming out this year is probably a good sign. give them as much time as they need to make it hopefully good
obligatory pokemon presents reaction - really looking forward to pokopia next week, cautiously optimistic about gen 10. it looks pretty good to me at least, as long as it runs at a decent framerate. (cue the posts looking at individual frames of the video saying "this looks like absolute shit")

Not even sure why I am ranting about this in the first place. Sometimes I just get in a mood. meh
My biggest problem was probably just going to Reddit in the first place. Lately I’ve really been realizing it’s all people just complaining to complain, or posting the same overused memes. Not sure what I even get out of looking there anymore.
I find a lot of people say “you shouldn’t be surprised by this” as if it’s an argument of why you shouldn’t complain. Like, yeah, given their track record of charging for rereleases, it’s not that surprising. That doesn’t make it good.
I think my biggest thought with them reselling the old Pokémon games, even beyond the price (which like, $20 is a bit steep, yeah), is that FR/LG are like the least interesting games they could’ve chosen. If it was Emerald I’d at least consider it for a bit longer.

every few weeks I go to the round1 website to look at the location map in the vain hope that there is one coming to the twin cities, only to be let down

really glad that the gaming community as a whole didn't decide to make Discord the only place to get information about anything
