Now, of course, people will be like, "But this is different. These people are committing actual crimes! Biden issued his pardons to protect those people from being unfairly targeted by Trump!" as though that's not the exact argument that Trump's supporters will make.
Becomes a bit difficult for Democrats to make the case that this is a horrific, corrupt abuse of power (which it is, obviously) since Biden decided to go on a "pre-emptive pardon" spree right before leaving office.
“Trump promises mass pardon to staff before leaving office.
In a recent meeting, the president said he would pardon those within 200 feet of the Oval Office, say people familiar with the remarks.”

CSS in 2026 just made Tailwind optional. Container queries, :has(), @layer, subgrid, and relative colors are all cross-browser now. Zero dependencies. Smaller bundles. Why are you still paying the Tailwind tax?

After almost twenty years on the platform, EFF is logging off of X.
This isn’t a decision we made lightly, but it might be overdue. 🧵 (1/5)

19 guys with box cutters fucked us up good for over a decade. People think retaliation has to be some kind of major military operation and they’re wrong
We’re not the first publication to question the ad-supported model. But so far as we know, we may be the first nonprofit newsroom to run a rigorous, publicly documented experiment to test the alternative.
in 80 years historians will simplify the cause of WW3 to the US President being a pedophile, sorta like WW1 was archduke ferdinand getting shot
Expected later today, at 8:02 p.m. ET:
"Artemis II, this is mission control, you copy?"
"Affirmative, mission control."
"Yeah...ummmm...we're gonna have you just do another swing around the moon. We've got some...uhhhhh...stuff going on down here. Advise you stay up there a bit. Over."
Good news: support for this feature will be out in FF149 and Chrome 148!
I did the implementation in both FF and Safari because @nerdy.dev and I wanted it so badly haha.
And chrome has had it behind a flag for a bit.

One of the biggest lies that media keeps repeating from right-wing commentators & politicians is “people don’t want to work anymore”. Actually, people *love* to work hard — if the work is meaningful and workers are respected. It’s a management skill issue. anildash.com/2026/04/06/p...
Oh, wow. So many other worlds visible in the background of the Artemis II view from eclipse, peeking out of the haze of the solar corona. Thanks @tunctezel.bsky.social for labeling!
Did anyone see this one coming?

#ArtemisII
This is the face of a lunar scientist who has just been told that the #Artemis II crew saw SEVERAL impact flashes (the flashes when meteors hit the lunar surface) in real time 😃 🌓💥
The Artemis II crew just gave us an 80's sitcom intro and it's absolutely hilarious! Freeze frames, cheesy grins, theme song energy. These are the four humans who are about to around the Moon. NASA said fun and we are here for it!
People should actually be very alarmed that while AP's business model is shot to bits, Americans are still very much reliant on the news it delivers. The alternatives in some cases are inferior or non-existent.
