Today, all good people celebrate the April 9, 1865 surrender of the traitor Lee and his slavery-supporting army at Appomattox to the U.S Army led by General Grant.

Integrity is a muscle can atrophy if you don’t exercise it every damn day. Character is a choice.

A trillion dollars is one thousand billion dollars; a billion dollars is one thousand million dollars. Minimum wage has stayed seven dollars & twenty-five cents since 2009. All of this is a choice made repeatedly.
Our self destruction is deliberate and it is well funded.

This US Department of Justice couldn’t win a misdemeanor trial they pushed for. I repeat: the US Department of Justice couldn’t win a misdemeanor trial they pushed for.

Their incompetence doesn’t negate their dishonesty but it helps…

Drug trafficking is not a capital crime; it doesn’t carry a death sentence. I genuinely cannot think of anything under U.S. law that would permit premeditated government assassination of people suspected of drug trafficking.

Lethal force against a civilian vessel in international waters is a war crime if not in self-defense. If not in self-defense, only non-lethal actions, such as warning shots or disabling fire, are allowed.

"Not yielding to pursuers" or "suspected of carrying drugs" doesn't carry a death sentence.

“Secret police” are your words, not mine. Seems like you’ve been giving them a lot of thought.

Unlike NYPD, your agents don’t identify themselves & wear masks that cover their faces. Now they ignore judges’ rulings, too.

What law enforcement agents are supposed to uphold … is the rule of law.

Police who keep their identities secret are, quite literally, secret police. I don’t know why this is even controversial. You don’t get to yank people off the streets while hiding your face and identity and still retain the respectability of an accountable, democratic police force.

It never stopped being birtherism Donald Trump is repackaging a familiar smear against Zohran Mamdani.

Attacking people’s citizenship and identity as punishment for their politics is a fascist move.

‘Inhumane:’ Latinas for Trump founder condemns White House immigration crackdown “I have always supported Trump, through thick and thin. However, this is unacceptable and inhumane,” said Florida Sen. Ileana Garcia.

““This is not what we voted for,” State Sen. Ileana Garcia said in a statement on Saturday. “I have always supported Trump, through thick and thin.”

Narrator: It is - in fact - what they voted for…

Justice David Souter

—voted in favor of affirmative action, gay marriage, separation of church/state and abortion rights.
—Did the work, quiet, strong, empathetic…kind

A great role model for young men.
