5 years ago, there was a bloody, lawless, and deadly attack on our nation’s Capitol. A group of criminal thugs broke out in riots and stormed our Capitol in an attempt to overturn the results of a free and fair election at the direction of the President of the United States.

Happening now: several hundred people are pouring into Chicago's downtown Federal Plaza.

It's 25 degrees outside.

Organizers are leading the crowd in a chant of, "no boots on the ground, no bombs in the air!"

Two protesters hold a large banner reading, "no war for Venezuela oil."

Impeach, convict, remove.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

Stop invading our cities! There is no grave widespread emergency that warrants sending the National Guard into our cities. Leave us alone.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.
