Fast-tracked Baltimore bus expansion left out of Moore’s transportation budget The final version of the Consolidated Transportation Program, a six-year capital spending vision updated as part of the governor’s budget each year and released Wednesday, is largely unchanged from it...

@mta.maryland.gov MTA's BMORE Bus plan could be completed in 6 years, but it's on a 10+ year timeline.

Baltimore transit riders--especially students--are being left behind.

New train cars will gradually replace the old ones on Baltimore’s Metro Subway throughout 2026.

Smoother rides. More reliable service (fewer breakdowns). Better accessibility. Brighter.

The rally last year was a success insofar as over 100 people showed up to fight for better transit in Baltimore, so I have no reason to believe this year won't be at least twice as successful!

Please, if you're in the area, consider attending. Free transportation to and from the rally.

“I had hoped that when he made that announcement in 2023 that, by the time his first term came to an end, if shovels weren’t in the ground, we’d have a full funding grant agreement with the federal government and a date for the shovels to be in the ground. But we don’t,” O’Malley said.

Baltimore’s Rebooted Transit Project Can’t Come Soon Enough The Red Line, a rail plan with a troubled past, emerged as a transportation priority for Maryland Governor Wes Moore in 2024. But progress has been slow.

Brian O’Malley, the president and CEO of the Central Maryland Transportation Alliance, noted that when Moore announced his administration would be restarting the Red Line, a local resident told him to “put shovels in the ground.”
