Today's removal could be player removal, or get rid of that ultra annoying creature you can't kill otherwise!

Did this on main, but this is me! Clearly you can see how I was influenced early on.
Magic the Gathering card Dark Impostor. Cost two generic and one black. Creature Vampire Assassin. Two power and two toughness. Four generic and two black: Exile target creature and put a +1/+1 counter on Dark Impostor. Dark Impostor has all activated abilities of all creature cards exiled with it. Art by Johannes Voss depicts a person in a mostly white outfit with black and red accents ascending a set of stairs. Face mostly obscured by their black hat, aside from a fanged smile with a trickle of blood from their lips. At the bottom of the stairs, a figure is slumped against a wall, apparently stripped to their skivvies, with a large bloodstain splashing the wall behind them.
Today's removal is a repeatable single-target exile! If you got 6 mana to dump and a creature in the way, this well-dressed vampire will get the job done for good.

Magic the Gathering card Buried in the Garden. Cost two generic, one white, and one green. Enchantment aura. Enchant land When this Aura enters, exile target nonland permanent you don’t control until this Aura leaves the battlefield. Whenever enchanted land is tapped for mana, its controller adds an additional one mana of any color. Art by Tom Babbey depicts an area covered with grass and flowers with an obvious body in the fetal position in the middle.
Today's removal is an O-ring that ramps! Always love removal that gives you a little more.

Magic the Gathering card Stroke of Midnight. Cost two generic and one white. Instant. Destroy target nonland permanent. Its controller creates a 1/1 white Human creature token. Art by Julia Metzger depicts a woman in armor with a bright red cape and deep brown skirt running away from a cone-shaped helmet falling to the floor as a surprised crowd in the ballroom watch.
Today's removal is a fairly new one to the family of "destroy almost anything, but give your opponent something for it." Beast Within* but a weaker token is a pretty good deal to me.
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Nine Lives. Cost one generic and two white. Enchantment. Hexproof If a source would deal damage to you, prevent that damage and put an incarnation counter on this enchantment. When there are nine or more incarnation counters on this enchantment, exile it. When this enchantment leaves the battlefield, you lose the game. Art by Paul Scott Canavan depicts a fluffy brown and white tabby cat with golden light glowing behind her. In clouds surrounding her are the faces of several large cats and catfold against a starry sky.
Today was a sad day for me, so no removal for today. Instead, take this, and love your pets for as long as you can.
Magic the Gathering card Feed the Swarm. Cost one generic and one black. Sorcery. Destroy target creature or enchantment an opponent controls. You lose life equal to that permanent's mana value. Art by Andrey Kuzinsky depicts a Kor man with chalk white skin and hair holding a hook weapon defensively as a swarm of insects with glowing red eyes surround him.
Today's removal was the long awaited answer to black's weakness against enchanments, doing it in the way black does by costing life.

thinking abouit how in korean traditional theater there is a monster called yeongno which eats rich people and if it eats 100 of them it gets to go to heaven (I'm sorry, I'm not feeling well and I can't explain what it looks like, sort of like an anteater) Like can we summon this m quasi-normalcy replies - go little fellow!
I believe in you, little guy
Magic the Gathering card Dispatch. Cost one white. Instant. Tap target creature. Metalcraft If you control three or more artifacts, exile that creature. Art by Erica Yang depicts a dark figure with four arms and a long razor tail surrounded by a swirling white sphere. On a path behind them is the planeswalker Venser in a pose for casting as his cloak flies in the wind.
Today's removal is the best removal in white ever, if you're playing an artifact deck.
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Pongify. Cost one blue. Instant. Destroy target creature. It can’t be regenerated. Its controller creates a 3/3 green Ape creature token. Art by Heather Hudson depicts a monkey with dark fur standing on a beach and screaming. The monkey is wearing some leather armor slightly too big for it, and in the sand behind it are goggles and a large hammer.
Today's removal is one of the greatest mistakes in the color pie. Creature destruction in blue, truly scandalous!
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Rend Flesh. Cost two generic and one black. Instant Arcane. Destroy target non-Spirit creature. Art by Stephen Tappin depicts a large and muscular pale figure with five red glowing eyes grabbing the body of a human-like person wearing a hat, piercing their torso with its tongue, covered with glowing blood on the other side. Thick tendrils surround them both in a dark, foggy space.
Today's removal is a little outside of the box, and while, yes, Murder is better, why not second almost-Murder? Non-Spirit means a lot of things that aren't, still.
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Fight with Fire. Cost two generic and one red. Sorcery. Kicker cost five generic and one red. Fight with Fire deals 5 damage to target creature. If this spell was kicked, it deals 10 damage divided as you choose among any number of targets instead. Art by Yongjae Choi depicts Jaya Ballard, an older woman with white hair in a braid, brass goggles on her forehead, wearing red robes over leather armor, and having strands of orange flames flying off her extended hand. The background is a dark gray smoke cloud.
Today's removal is in honor of my Halaar deck's first game win. Creature removal that can later become player removal is always a good time!
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Archdruid's Charm. Cost three green. Instant. Choose one — • Search your library for a creature or land card and reveal it. Put it onto the battlefield tapped if it’s a land card. Otherwise, put it into your hand. Then shuffle. • Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control. It deals damage equal to its power to target creature you don’t control. • Exile target artifact or enchantment. Art by Liiga Smilshkalne depicts a copper and glass emblem shaped into intertwining trees with three green ovals running down the middle in shades of brown and green with a bright green glowing background.
I missed Tuesday but I also have been knocked out by my newest medication, sorry about that! Today's removal could NOT be removal, but where's the fun in that? Fight or blow up an artifact or enchantment, we love versatility around here.
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Vanish into Eternity. Cost two generic and one white. Instant. This spell costs three generic more to cast if it targets a creature. Exile target nonland permanent. Art by Magali Villeneuve depicts Elspeth Tirel, a woman clad in gold armor with white cloth, holding a filigree bowl. She is on her knees, screaming in pain, as fire in the bowl shoots through her body, with fragments of her blowing away into the darkness around her.
Today's removal can hit pretty much anything, with some additional fees. At its base, 3 to exile anything not a creature is still pretty good! Is there better? Sure, but this is a good budget option.
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Beast Within. Costs two generic and one green. Instant. Destroy target permanent. Its controller creates a 3 / 3 green beast creature token. Art by Dave Allsop depicts a metal-skinned animal with a too-large jaw of fangs and no eyes rising up from the remains of another animal with a sky of gray and green clouds above.
Today's removal is an extreme break for green, able to hit both creatures and planeswalkers as well as the usual enchantments, artifacts, and slightly uncommon lands for the color. They get a dude, though, so like... fair?
#magicthegather #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card V.A.T.S. Casting cost two generic and two black. Instant. Split Second. Choose any number of target creatures with equal toughness. Destroy the chosen creatures. Art by Diego Gisbert depicts several Fallout raiders in a city block full of rubble. The closest one to the point-of-view is reaching forward, his other arm held back to swing a baseball bat with nails. His neck to his hair is highlighted with a green glow, and there are several boxes with different percentages shown around his body.
Today's removal is inspired by Fallout Season 2 and me replaying New Vegas. The targeting for it can be a little iffy going beyond one creature, if you're not sure about pump shenanigans, but I can just hear the sound when casting this card.
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Artifact Mutation. Cost one red and one green. Instant. Destroy target artifact. It can't be regenerated. Create X 1 / 1 green Saproling creature tokens, where X is that artifact's mana value. Art by Jose Parodi depicts a robotic humanoid figure made of copper or brass in the middle of a jungle, with fines and fungus growing off its body.
Today's removal is a classic that give you more upside the bigger the thing you blow up. Love when a Caged Sun explodes into several plant dudes!
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Ancient Grudge. Cost one generic and one red. Instant. Destroy target artifact. Flashback for one green. Art by Ryan Yee depicts a shadowy werewolf, its claw slashing through a stonework Avacyn's Collar, the symbol of her church, as fire blooms around the altar it sits on.
Today's removal is so nice you can use it twice (if you have both colors). For maximum flavor, use the Innistrad one to destroy a Basilisk Collar!
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Icy Blast. Cost X generic and one blue. Instant. Tap X target creatures. Ferocious - If you control a creature with power 4 or greater, those creatures don't untap during their controllers' next untap steps. Art by Eric Deschamps depicts a figure in an outfit of heavy leathers and bones with ice spreading across the ground around them. Four armored soldiers are frozen solid by the ice, limbs crumbling off.
Today's removal seems to have hit half of the US this weekend. I'm definitely feeling a little stunned from the cold. Extremely mana-efficient way to clear the path to victory, as long as you don't slip on the ice.
Magic the Gathering card Skred. Cost one red. Instant. Skred deals damage to target creature equal to the number of snow permanents you control. Art by Christopher Moeller depicts a giants on a snow-covered mountainside swinging a massive spiked club down at a castle rampart with several human figures on top of it. One figure holds a staff high with a red glow.
Today's removal is inspired by the weather in the Northern US at the moment. A staple of pauper, as long as you commit to the bit. (Snow also kills me.)
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Unsubstantiate. Cost one generic and one blue. Instant. Return target spell or creature to its owner's hand. Art by Victor Adame Minguez depicts Jace in a long dark cloak, back turned to the viewer, with a glowing blue hand pointed at a dark horse-like creature with a gaping jaw and two tentacle-like tongues waving about. The background is mainly swirling blue and gray mists with some red highlights.
Today's removal is softer in two ways, though also gets around certain hard to stop traits, such as "Can't be countered" and Indestructible. Things don't have to hit the graveyard to be removed, just out of the way!
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Explosive Derailment. Cost one red. Instant. Spree (Choose one or more additional costs.) + two generic Explosive Derailment deals 4 damage to target creature. + two generic Destroy target artifact. Art by Leon Tukker depitcts a a train with giant gears running along a track of blue energy. Two dark figures stand atop the train as three cars down explodes with more blue energy and white smoke.
I got a bit... derailed and forgot Sunday's post. Set some alarms and now I'm back on track!
Train puns aside, today's removal is a fun spree card from OTJ. Creature, artifact, or both? And of course everyone enjoys a good Breeches flavor text.
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Nameless Inversion. Cost one generic and one black. Kindred Instant Shapeshifter. Changeling (This card is every creature type.) Target creature gets +3 -3 and lose all creature types until end of turn. Art by Dominik Mayer depicts a humanoid figure in tan and brown clothing, with the upper left torso's dark blue skin exposed. One hand covers its face, which has one bright white circular eye, and the rest of the face melting away into the air. The figure's left arm ends in a dark claw-like hand. Next to the figure, a bronze sword floats freely in the air. The background is wide swirling swaths of pink, purple, and blue.
I slipped up and forgot to post yesterday, but it's Lorwyn Eclipsed day! So today we have... a reprint! A classic that can kill indestructible creatures while also giving bonuses for casting any creature type.

Hello! I am Yada, and this is my Magic Gimmick Account, Consider More Removal!
I made this account because for me, removal is one of the most important and integral parts of Magic. Game's gotta end, and removing obstacles helps!
Posts are Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Reposts and comments welcome
Magic the Gathering card Vampire Hexmage. Cost two black. Creature Vampire Shaman. Two power one toughness. First strike. Sacrifice Vampire Hexmage: Remove all counters from target permanent. Art by Eric Deschamps depicts a pale woman with dark hair in braids looking at reaching towards the viewer. She wears a dark dress, has red lines along her skin, and small dark insects crawling along her body.
Today's removal doesn't say destroy or exile, but removing counters is a quick way to get rid of planeswalkers, hydras, and -skelions of various sizes. And sometimes freeing an ancient god.
#magicthegathering #mtgcommander
Magic the Gathering card Ravenous Chupacabra. Cost two generic and two black. Creature Beast Horror. 2 power and 2 toughness. When Ravenous Chupacabra enters the battlefield, destroy target creature an opponent controls. Art by Daarken depicts a dark dog-like creature with a ridge of fur along its back and mouth full of jagged fangs prowling along a Mesoamerican style, red clay building's platform.
What's better than removal? Removal that also brings you up a body! (And an abusable ETB but that's not important right?)

Hey folks youve gotta leave Twitter or im judging you
Magic the Gathering card Break the Ice. Cost two black. Sorcery. Destroy target land that is snow could produce colorless. Overload cost four generic and two black. Art by Nicholas Gregory depicts a snow covered mountain range being demolished by large, black, fang-like pillars with billowing clouds of dull blue above.
While I don't typically enjoy land destruction myself, it is a form of removal, if particular lands start causing problems for everyone. Been thinking about the name of this card quite recently.

Magic: the Gathering card Nature's Claim. Cost one gree. Instant. Destroy target artifact or enchantment. Its controller gains 4 life. The art by Raoul Vitale depicts a tan statue with green overgrowth sitting in a pond and surrounded by trees. The statue has a sphinx-like form, with a human head with long hair and a helmet, and large bird-like wings on its back. The rest of statue is submerged in the water. The pond is covered in lily pads and three purple lotus flowers.
Today's removal comes with an upside for the owner of what you remove, but if an Ensnaring Bridge or Propaganda is in the way of your winning swing, would 4 life really be that much of a difference?
#magicthegather #mtgcommander
Magic: the Gathering card Mortify. Cost one generic, one white, and one black. Instant. Destroy target creature or enchantment. Art by Nils Hamm depicts a human man wearing scale armor, horned helm, and a cloak holding a longsword. White light is erupting from his eyes and mouth as his arms splinter off halfway down, fragments flying off into the aether. The colors are very muted browns, greens, and silvers.
Today's removal hits more than just creatures! Enchantments have been getting bigger lately, and it does no good to ignore a whole card type when considering removal.
