I cried when it was released.
I cried watching streamers experience that scene for the first time.
It's a true privilege to have been responsible for so many wonderful tears. 😭😂🥰
Ok, now that the documentary is out there, I want to clarify something about "that scene".
I cried while writing the stub VO.
I cried when I read the real lines from the writers.
I cried when we did our first internal playtest.
I cried when we recorded the lines with Sumalee and Janelle.
LOL yes, parenting is impossible without AI, a method that has been around for less than around 0.000012% of the time humans have been on the planet having babies. 🤦🏻♂️

Fluff post: Arenanet has enough 15-22 year veterans (which is no small feat in this industry) that they started rolling out "deluxe" nameplates so that we have room to fit *all* our magnets. 🥰
It really does take a village to make the stories in Tyria that you all get to experience. Although I was not directly involved in this expansion's launch release (look for my handiwork in quarterly story content next year!) it is clear how passionate and dedicated this team is. VoE is 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🦖

Happy 13th 🎂🥳🧁🎁 to Guild Wars 2, the game (and franchise) that has literally changed my life in so many ways. I still remember the heady joy of exiting the tutorial zone and seeing so many players clustered around the story NPC. It's been so incredible to watch the game and our community grow! ❤️
