Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to answer me. You've all made me feel a lot more confident about this vaccine. Merry Christmas xo

@hannahr.bsky.social Hey there. I know you have a lot of vaccine knowledge so I wondered if you knew the answer:

I booked my vaccine for DGH drivethrough this week when I became eligible. Looking at the appt. it shows it's the moderna monovalent. Will this protect against the prevalent strains?

My family in NB keeps telling me about how everyone in their school/ town has the flu.

I tell them there is little flu around and if they are sick, it's likely Covid.

They tell me that their pharmacists are telling them it's flu.

This is an public health failure that's supported by the system.

Almost decided not to bother seeing this one in the theatre based on the response it was getting. Went last night and, yes, all this! Wish I could be more baffled by the reaction to this very funny movie with three women leads.

They are doing this in my home county in NB. These tiny places have people who really rely on a bank - especially older folks and people without the ability to travel for hour or so to get to a larger center.

It is a lot easier to stand on the outside and make snarky comments about how everything is bad than it is to roll up your sleeves and do the actual work required to fix problems.

Especially if you pretend those problems are very easy to solve and the issue is everyone but you is stupid.

one thing i love about gene who cuts my hair is i always give him bizarre requests like "hair that looks normal in alabama" or "jackie kennedy but really long" or "laurel canyon roller disco mom" and he nods thoughtfully and deep conditions it and cuts off the split ends exactly the same every time

"the “Tell the Feds” campaign isn’t about feasibility, affordability or reliability, but rather a thinly disguised attempt to enlist ordinary Canadians in Alberta’s unyielding service to the fossil fuel industry."
