There’s an elk going one way, and an elk going the other way, joined in the middle. An impossible 2-way elk. The only on the left is colored in warm orange tones, with cooler colors on his neck fur and antlers, and the one on the right is mainly cool bluish with similarly contrasting parts. There’s abstract colors in the background suggestions of a sunrise. Around the middle of the 2-way elk is wrapped a light colored banner going around three times, just slightly tilted to the right off of vertical. Written on the banner are the words ‘Maybe it will happen today’.

Careful with that tshirt. Strong “last known photo” vibes.
A perfect amalgam of 80s/90s nostalgia, creepy weird horror, and the most innovative, literally game-changing investigative and engagement mechanics.
This game has mechanical elements that have become standard practice in every rpg I run. It‘s a brilliant game, full of truly impactful fiction.
I'm starting to be concerned that, in addition to the current KS meltdown, our 48 hour warning email also did not go out. If you saved Public Access but did not pledge, please reply here letting me know if you received your 48 hour warning email from KS.
PLEASE re-post this message.
A quick google tells me that it is, in fact , already several games. dungeons & digits is better anyway.
The four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (live action 90s versions) looking their heads up from under a manhole cover with a wide angle cityscape background. Over the cover is generated text set in the same way as the title of the TMNT cartoon reading Maybe it will happen today’.

Super sexy ghost in a cutoff-collar bare midriff tee and jean shorts recreating the solo dance scenes from Flashdance and Footloose but to Nine Inch Nails, and wearing a TMNT Raphael Halloween mask. They beckon you closer.
What are you afraid is going to happen?
It‘s worse than that.
Back this!
Players! In this mystery game, you don’t have to dredge through the GM’s mental trauma to decipher their inscrutable “clues” to find their “resolutions”.
GMs! in this game, you get to kill the players. Over and over again. Just gruesomely slaughter them. And they’ll thank you for it.
Back this!
A digital illustration of a young girl, 10 or 11, with short, dark hair with bangs and wearing an old fashioned dress with long sleeves and a large amulet around her neck. She’s floating in space, arms out and palms up, toes pointed down, and looking upward with a neutral expression. She is being lit sharply from below with green light and her eyes are glowing. Arrayed around her in space are several writhing, branching tentacles reaching upward. Behind all this is a dark purple fog surrounding a central glow mostly obscured behind the girl’s dress. Below her is a black miasma that the tentacles are emerging from. The blackness also surrounds glowing green writing in an eldritch, chthonic writing which reads (you just have to trust me on this), ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
Dial 2 Cycles through all 4, then appears blank. iOs, safari
I already quoteposted this, but these amazing stretch goals are really close now. Also, I wanted to show off my new purple vhs clamshell keeper screen:
If you don’t back this, I swear by all the powers and principalities that dwell in the dark spaces between your fears imagined and your horrors realized, I will find you, and I will exact my revenge upon you. And it‘s worse than that: when I give a wet willy, I go extra sloppy and so very deep.
I saw the news today, oh boy!
A digital illustration. An upright donut with red frosting striped in a darker red frosting. The donut has a mouth at the bottom of its arc, with fangy teeth and protruding tongue and frame with a curly mustache and goatee. The donut has little red goatlike legs with black hooves and a pointy tail. The frosting at the top of the donut forms into two curving horns. The donut has arms, one the hand of which is making the ‘Hail Satan’ gesture. The other hand holds a pitchfork on which another much smaller anthropomorphized pink-frosted-with-sprinkles donut is speared on through its hole, mouth open and screaming. The Devil Donut is standing on a gray multi-tiered platform. Flames are flaming behind the platform and silhouettes of tormented donuts can be seen within. On the fronts of the platform tiers red block letters spell out ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
please please make this happen.
After having kicked the hornet‘s nest, I have determined that the conflict has ended, and I am the winner. The path to the front door is safe and clear, except for all the hornets. Victory!
This game has, in the few sessions I’ve run, made me a better GM. And I was a really good GM to start with. The text tells us what to do, but also how and why, and that sets it apart from so many others. The system demands and mechanically incentivizes player engagement. It’s just so fucking good.
Excellent first night of #gamestorm !
Fun panel with @themonstersknow.com (we built a monster by committee) and Pirate Borg with harbormaster @themightyjerd.bsky.social (we won, we were the best at piracy)
Shadowdark tomorrow morning, running Public Access in the evening. I am a happy nerd.
Going to Gamestorm in Portland! Monster creation workshop and Pirate Börg tonight. Seats for Shadowdark, Cypher, Savage Worlds, Wizard Crack. Let’s fucking GO!
A photograph of 3 Barney VHS tapes with purple cases.
Why am I buying vintage Barney VHS tapes? It’s because I need purple VHS cases for my #PublicAccessRPG keeper screen. I’ll post pics when it’s done (hopefully before game night on Friday…)
Oh, and back their kickstarter:

Those are just from last year. I think this is already a thing...
Backed. I don’t recall anyone asking me to write a mystery, though.
To be fair, there was a wide variety of colors.
I have wondered about a crossover. When Latchkeys play an Odyssey tape, they trigger a session of WHPA wherein they play Hosts. Amazing opportunity for Signals, synchnonici, etc.
Digital illustration in comic book style of 1966 Adam West Batman. He’s making a very manic and stressed out gritted-teeth grimace as he runs with a comically large bomb with a lit fuse held in both hands over his head. Three speech bubbles, the last being a red and orange burst, contain the words ‘Maybe it will happen today!’ 🦇 💣
Barely an artist, but here’s a ghost sketch from a con game last year:
