Idk, I have things I don't like about it as a gut reaction, but I think my art is a lot more interesting when I stop trying so hard to make it something generic or pretty that I think people would like

I went from exclusively drawing anime boys in Gimp to only anime girls OCs. I think this is both tragic and beautiful (my colors are *typically* still pretty saturated, though)

Also who would've thought that your sketch, the entire foundation of your art, will determine how good the end product looks. Could never have foreseen this

Update: i'm normal now, I just forgot that something akin to gesture drawing looks a lot better than Vibe Doodling(tm) (focusing too hard on details while sketching and not the entire picture as a whole)

🫂 I hope you can find joy in it again one day Mal!! Luckily I think I have more of a drive to draw than I have since I was younger, it's more like...not feeling accomplished or happy with it when it's finished, it's all lacking creativity and passion to me :')
