Don’t really have much else to say that won’t get into spoilers and my criticism which will go in a different thread. Overall, I can’t wait to see how the story develops from here. Kudos to the tmnt team!

+balancing the high paced action, somber moments, and everything in between. As for the story itself it’s another Mikey centric issue- and I’ll admit my bias that it’s already got points bc he’s my fave Mikey. He shines in this story - an emphasis put on being unapologetically himself

Tmnt issue 9. Goes without saying that the art is fantastic — the paneling and layouts are unique and engaging, the facial expressions and action top notch. Ferreyra’s one of my favorite tmnt comic artists of all time now. So many sequences elevate Mikey’s character through his balls to the walls+

Finished new tmnt idw issues (MN+mainline) it’s a shame that mutant nation’s being canned after issue 9, it does a really good job of keeping the cast from b4 the reboot relevant+fleshing out the new status quo of New York. Overall I liked both stories. Thoughts on main issue below (1/?)

Read some young avengers and avengers academy this month. Pretty fun. It’s a bittersweet feeling reading these books and knowing half the characters get stuck in limbo though

Juston Seyfert in 2025 makes me sad. He got blended body and mind alive and now he’s been stuck like this for who knows how long. He was a teenager before this. How many years was he stuck in that room? Everyone he knew and loved thinks he’s dead. Jfc

+how something as small as a kid in a random town finding a sentinel and changing everything about it, bc he wanted a friend. How he ends up doing selfish things bc of it. But at the end of the day, he wanted a friend that would never abandon him.

Juston got his wish. in the worst possible way.

Sentinels is a bit of a mixed bag for me, but I have to say: The entire foundation being from juston is what made this series go from forgettable to excellent. Juston’s character can be a conduit for so much thought provoking stuff in the marvel universe
