Woah! Love this! Did a similar design with pickup. Might try my hand at the tablet version for a side by side!

I used heat-shrink tubing from the electrical section of the hardware store, along with some super glue and a heat gun. Still a little fatter than I'd like. Probably going to try metal aglets next time that you can just clamp onto the lace.
