Cilla was a bona fide star. She could do it all - sing, act, front a variety show or a game show. Clock George Martin conducting the band, and I believe that smile at about 20 seconds in is directed at Bobby. Sheer class #DFCOC

Oh Cooper.
And you just know it would be the most popular thing on teh interwebs.
I have so many security add-ons and extension installed on this browser that I'm surprised it lets through anything except pictures of kittens and puppies.

That cat's a ringer for my old boy Dewey when he was in his prime.
Are we having more problems this morning (or whatever part of the day it is where you are)? Videos aren't loading and are showing error messages. There's every chance it could be my PC throwing a wobbler, again.
Still raining. Time for bed. Where's me aqualung? Oi, Vera! Did you put the budgie's cage on top of the wardrobe?
I don't get it either, nor people who smother themselves in chocolate (or vanilla) body butter*. It turns my stomach.
*Especially when they get on a bus!

buy everything you liked or you wanted to make a mixtape, it's still easy to take it for granted now that you don't have to do that any more. I still have a few old cassettes from Pick of the Pops on a Sunday evening, maybe in one of those boxes in the closet. O Superman is on one of them.
people upload obscure singles by bands or artists who put out one punk single on their own label and then vanished? Even if you remember the pre-www era when you had to hope something would be played on the radio and you were there to record it on your little boombox because you couldn't afford to
It's easy to forget how long YouTube has been around (20+ years) until you see a "15 years ago" timestamp on a YT video's page. How did we live without it? I can listen to almost any piece of music from almost any era. Maybe you can do that on Spotify, I don't know (no Spotify account), but do
There was no rainbow on the Rio Colorado today, only heavy clouds and rain. No sun. But I'm a sucker for any song in 3/4 time, any song that has 'lonesome' in the lyrics, and western yodelling #DFCOC

Very wise. I should be doing that more than I am.
But no link (that I could see) to any actual Proms 2026 page. Home page, calendar, list of composers. Nuthin. Great job BBC.

You'll never guess what.
Yep.

It's how every day should be. Early to bed, early to rise, and a nap in the afternoon makes a man etc etc.
Thighs are the best, same as chicken.
Or a freezer.
As for sourdough, I don't get it... or like it. I bake a batch of 12 white floury baps and freeze eight or ten of them as soon as they've cooled. If I didn't do that the last four would go mouldy in the bread bin before I got to them (live on my own).

Still raining by the way. Goodnight, and may whatever you want to go with you, go with you.

and spices, bung them in the oven, and that was it. None of the usual baked spud accompaniments like sour cream. It was a simple Monday dinner and we'd eat it watching Desmond's or The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole. So that's what I'm having tonight but with different telly, and air fried not baked.
those unmentionables. This has only recently started happening, or have I only just started noticing it?
Many years ago when I was living very happily with a woman and two cats in London, she made dinner every Monday night. She'd cut some baking spuds in half, brush oil on, sprinkle them with herbs
I'm becoming convinced that some kind of sprite or demon has moved into my tumble dryer. This morning I did laundry. Everything went into the dryer the right way round. Three t-shirts out of four came out inside-out. So did a pillowcase. Other things did too but I won't be uncouth by mentioning
A charming little pop-punk song from Belfast is today
s #DFCOC. Originally on the same label as The Undertones (Good Vibrations), and like the Undertones they migrated to a big label. Ain't it (usually) always the way and (sometimes) not always for the best.

No idea why I capitalised 'square'.
Steve Race is a Square!
That is a monster of a hotel!
By the way, I am the next person and I'm extremely intolerant.
